TSA inspector damages planes and causes major flight delays
As one of the duties to make sure air travel is safer, TSA inspectors check planes for security issues while the planes are parked.
Unfortunately, knowing which parts of planes should not be touched, and what a ladder looks like is a skill set that still needs some fine tuning.
According to this ABC News report, an inspector at Chicago's O'Hare Airport used sensitive instrument probes as handholds while climbing into nine American Eagle airplanes. These TAT probes, pictured, are important to the operation of flight computers. As a result, 40 commuter flights were delayed.
At the time, the TSA agent was attempting to determine if the aircraft could be broken into and an agency official is quoted as saying "Our inspector was following routine procedure for securing the aircraft that were on the tarmac."
Next time, try using a ladder and a brick.

Since they don't know how to keep passengers from bring weapons on the planes, what makes them think they can check a plane for security issues. TSA is a joke and the joke is on us.

TSA! Scary at best, efficient to say the least, annoying
to say the most. How/why does it take anyone more
than 30 minutes to clear a TSA screening point?? The
traveler pays a surcharge on the cost of a ticket yet
it's like going to a grocery store check out - loads
of check out lines but only 3 cashiers!! Here you have a
totally unskilled TSA employee using instrument probes
as hand and foot rails! Wonder if he would have checked
the doors if the plane was in flight!!!

TSA has got to be the biggest joke at the airports now a days....Half of them think they are God and have the biggest power trip going none of them are on the same page at all. I fly all the time for my job and its just getting nuts to have to deal with them. They need to start being nice to people and people won't be bashing them all the time. HELLO we as Americans know who hates us and to have a idiot climbing on a plane (which most likely had a sign on it..DON'T STAND ON.) has got to go back to baggage department.

I was a flight engineer and helicopter prop and rotor specialist for the DOD. At one time I felt that my skills could be used elsewhere like TSA. Was I fooling myself! They wanted nothing to do with experianced aviation personnel. They wanted a diverse workfrorce to follow a PC criteria. What they did was rehire from the existing companies the employees that wished to stay, most of them were the same incompetent failures. The management ; useually more incompetent; picked its promotions on looks and kissing ass rather than experiance. I returned from Iraq doing the real terrorist control, and could not bring myself to degrade my honor and return to the TSA and its foolish practices. God bless the american soldier and compatriots because they are what will save us with skills that are needed to fight terror, not abuse the public

TSA jokers, I was an airline agent for a couple years, BTW, working for an airline was the most fun job I had done, I was escorting a crew through security and when I was taking off my jacket and so on to go through with the crew was told I had to bypass security and go around, that I could not go through the metal detector and x-ray screening for some unknown reason. The twice as stupid and all (TSA) agent couldn't give a logical answer why I could not just go through the security screening access point but had to bypass security and go around.

TSA should hire more experienced and qualified personnel to check the plane and work the airports and tarmacs. It is becoming more apperent to ME...That our Governments and other countries along with High Powered Firms such as KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines)...to be exact, are forgettting how imoortant we are. Well, at least to thier profits. I cannot even get my lady home because of some idiot ...who, aperrently was not trained properly or....he was high or something thinking like a jackass.EVERYONE WITH ANY KIND OF MECHANICHAL BACKGROUND, would know not to touch those probes and antenna`s. Retard!
