You might think the sculptor was trying to make a political statement, but from the accounts in the comments of this site, he apparently never intended for it to be political. Sep 1st, 2008 at 11:40AM: Outside the Seattle Museum of Art is a kinetic sculpture called Hammering Man. The man who lifts and lowers his hammer four times per minute is one of several Hammering Man sculptures by artist Jonathan Borofsky.
