Feb 8th, 2011 at 12:30PM: The Springs in Costa Rica is a luxury resort. With a backyard view of the Arenal Volcano, this resort boasts both hot and cold springs one thousand feet above the Arenal Valley. Although the enchanting destination deserves some attention on its own, having some media-bewitching stars present on the grounds doesn't hurt The Springs' reputation.
If you watched the most recent episode of The ...

Aug 6th, 2010 at 9:00AM: Jane Lovett's wet t-shirt aroused water park officials to take action last April. She was asked to leave the park because her padded bra was visible through the t-shirt (the horror!), and once she did leave, the cops were waiting. Apparently, she has been charged with indecent exposure, which would put every sunbather on Central Park's Great Lawn at risk of facing a firing squad (padded bras are ...

Of course, you wouldn't want to put any of this near your lips.
The culinary ...

Jul 8th, 2010 at 2:00PM: The peaks will now be capped, so to speak, at the Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Once one of the adults-only pools in Sin City where ladies could sunbathe sans top, a new sheriff in town has forced some modesty on the facility.
Across the country, frat boys and men married more than five years groaned. There are no reports of a letter-writing campaign, though.

Jun 14th, 2010 at 5:30PM:
Some cites get the rooftop pool concept right. Chicago is not the first place that would come to mind, but if we're being honest, when summer descends on Chicago, it's like God is smiling. Its winter weather gives the city a bad rap for the rest of the year, but outside of snow season, visitors to Chi-town could use the mercy of a cool dip.

In what must be a first for a big hotel, the W Hollywood is telling guests they are not permitted to use the rooftop pool.
digg_url = 'http://www.gadling.com/2010/04/02/the-w-hollywood-wont-let-guests-use-its-pool/?d'; It seems ludicrous, but it's true. That's because Starwood, which owns the combination hotel/residence property at Hollywood and Vine, contracted a slew of hotel services ...

Jul 11th, 2009 at 8:00AM: So much of life is governed by "unwritten rules," but beaches and pools are surprisingly short of convention to cite. Public opinion is all over the map on what matters most – and what can lead to a heated conversation. But, there are still a few hot buttons that irritate the world. According to a recent survey of 3,800 people by TripAdvisor, 69 percent encounter some breach of etiquette, ...

Mar 24th, 2009 at 3:30PM: New York City can be a stressful place. The economy is in the tank, winter refuses to relinquish its grip on the weather and people are perpetually worried about their careers and families. How can New Yorkers (and visitors) relax while in the city that never sleeps? How about a complex with massage pools, saunas and sleep areas? If you're in New York City and in need of a respite from the manic ...
