I don't know the details of this particular "Break" but it sounds as if the state would not charge the company taxes on either real estate property tax, employers state witholding tax or profits generated by the company ... in exchange for employing 700+ citizens, Whether the guy is an (alleged) con artist or not doesn't matter - he received no money from the state and got over on no one, Poorly written sensationalistic journalism at best! Nr Barlow...don't quit your day job! (unless this is it! :-)

Dec 2nd 2009 11:30AM I would be willing to bet that his gated community is "Private" and not a state owned street -not maintained, patrolled or cleaned by the state- if this is the case.... the ticket is invalid and could be easily dismissed if fought in court. He may not have even left "Private property" again making the ticket invalid. I am not sure about Florida - but most states cannot issue a moving violation for occurences on private property. Not that he cares about the fine, but the points that go along with the ticket may come back to bite him if he gets any other moving violations.
