Guns at Home: Do Neighborhoods' Firearms Permits Lower Property Values? {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 18th 2013 10:52AM Ahhh... Yes, it's a map that shows where legal, registered gun owners live.
You can also find out where pedophiles and people who have been convicted of sex crimes live. Wonder how many of these "undesirables" live in that same area. But you can't get a map that show where illegal gun owners live. How about meth labs, brothels, drug dealers, addicts, etc. In most cases, people who legally have guns in their homes are responsible citizens. They're trying to live within the limits of the law. Kneejerk reactions to heinous crimes don't resolve the problem. Trying to take away the rights of honest people (Americans, whether natural born or naturalized), only complicates matters, further driving a wedge between those citizens and the government. Those laws will have no effect on criminals, gangs, addicts, etc. Only you.
Is 'FlashForward' Heading to Starz? {AOL TV}
Oct 10th 2010 4:21PM Well, I've already signed on to Starz in the hopes of seeing the Starz Network succeeding with Flash Forward where ABC failed. Cutting a series in midstream of a season will kill almost any series, regardless of how good it is. Come on Starz! Bring back Flash Forward!
Is 'FlashForward' Heading to Starz? {AOL TV}
Jul 23rd 2010 8:16PM Flash Forward was/is a series that actually makes you think. Forget the reality crap and the tasteless comedies the networks have been throwing at us. If Starz picks it up, I'll subscribe to it. Great show!
Solar plane flies nonstop for a week {Gadling}
Jul 19th 2010 10:03AM Every new ground breaking development starts small and gradually works its way up. When the Wright Bros. built the first airplane, it was built for 1 person and flew less than the length of a football field. We've long since past the the open cockpit, biplane era. We've gone from hand started, single passenger, belt driven, wooden props that might reach 40mph, to turbo props, to jet engines that can carry over 300 people to speeds near the sound barrier, at over 30,000feet, and can travel over 3,000 miles without a fillup! But you know, we're still researching all of these propulsion systems in search of finding their optimal performance for any given need.
It's pretty obvious that you're not a scientist, a researcher, or even a dreamer. With attitudes and outlooks such as yours, we'd still be living in caves, wearing animal hides, eating most of our foods raw, and beating each other over the heads with animal bones! We'd still have no understanding of fire to warm our bodies, or cook our foods. Considering your complacency, we might have even been consumed by less intelligent animals and be the late great human race! Wake up!
Lindsay Lohan's Plan to Stay Out of Jail {PopEater}
Jul 12th 2010 6:18PM I hope "lilo" spends a chunk of money and gets her time in jail maxed out. I thought it was unfair for her to receive a 90-day sentence, with expectations of only spending 23-25 days behind bars. I hope the judge makes an example of her and orders her to spend the entire 90 days behind bars, and make her toe the line like everybody else who gets arrested for DUI, and failure to follow the conditions of her probation. She's not a child, she's an adult, and should take the heat like one.
Al-Jazeera Anchorwomen Quit After 'Offensive' Comments About Their Non-Conservative Clothing, Makeup, Uncovered Hair {Stylelist (Main)}
Jun 2nd 2010 9:58AM I agree with "Smokey" in that there are plenty of women in their country to rise up and take their place as equals, rather than subservient slaves. I'd suggest they enroll in the Larenna Bobbit Charm and Barber School, then they can give their husbands a proper "trimming"...

Teen's charity name draws the McIre of McDonald's {WalletPop}
Jan 23rd 2010 9:55AM McDonald's has just opened Pandora's McBox for a world of negative publicity. Since Lauren has held previous music festivals using that name, McDonald's attorneys must have been in a "food coma" the past few years. Shame on them. Now that there's an opportunity for them to use the term "McFest", because of the recent earthquake in Haiti, they discover that they've been caught with their pants down. Legalese (greed) has blinded common sense and charity. And while it might hurt McDonald's publicity and bottom line for the moment, a few months from now, it will all be forgotten and business will be back to normal. I wish Lauren the best of luck in slaying McDragon.
ABC Stops Production on 'FlashForward': Is It in Trouble? {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 24th 2009 5:27PM Flash Forward is an excellent series with a unique and fresh storyline. It has interesting characters and a number of subplots running at the same time. It would really be a shame to see it canceled. If ABC wants to can it, maybe SyFy will pick it up. Hang in there Flash Forward!!
'Dancing With the Stars' Season 8 Winner Is Shawn Johnson {AOL TV: Dancing with the Stars}
May 21st 2009 8:09AM I think season 8 offered the extremes of peoples' dancing abilities, from Wozniak's "dead worm" to Gilles natural abilities, from Holly's rigid ramblings to Shawn's olympic determination, from Steve O's and Ty's obvious "fish out of water", yet die hard dedication to Melissa's beauty and grace in spite of her injury. Anyone who dares set foot on the dance floor in front of a live audience, plus millions of viewers, deserves a round of applause regardless of what they can or can not do. My hat's off to all of them. I think the judges did an admirable job in giving out their scores, although there were times that I didn't agree with their comments. However, they are professionals in the field of dance. I'm not. But, that's where the viewers ability to vote for their favorites come in. Viewers' votes account for 50% of the contestants scores, and the judges get the other 50%. No system is perfect, but it's better than not being able to express your opinion. I would have been happy with any of the 3 finalists winning. To me, they're all winners.
