May 31st 2011 8:07PM The best ice cream I have ever had is made by a dairy co-op consisting of several dairy farms who market their product under the name of Mercers. It is located near Boonville in upstate NY. They even make wine flavored ice cream and export some to Europe. Wouldn't think of passing by this place without getting a cone.

Mar 28th 2011 5:23PM My son was a mechanic for one of the major airlines, and told me that the air filters on the planes were disgusting when they were changed. This comes from recirculating the same air. I always developed a cold after flying long distances. So glad I don't have to fly anymore, especially since the airlines are outsourcing their maintenance work to who knows.

Nov 16th 2010 7:20PM I won't be flying any airline because they have all outsourced their aircraft maintenance. Oh for the days when the airlines empoyed their own mechanics to maintain their aircraft. I believe that most of the aircraft flying each day are unsafe. I would only fly if it were an emergency..........

Oct 4th 2010 7:28PM The big question is why did Obama ever nominate Kagan in the first place, knowing full well that she served with the solicitor general's staff and knowingly would have to recuse herself from so many supreme court cases. Not a good deal because that leaves only 8 justices, and being an even number, could possibly lead to deadlocks in their decisions.
