Jul 2nd 2012 5:50PM My son hired an attorney to help him modify his mortgage. The attorney took his money (a good bit of money) never filed any paperwork and while my son was recovering from MAJOR surgery for which he was out of work for was given given a few days notice to move. He was never served papers which is law. Imagine laying in your bed barely being able to walk and being told get out now. He managed to get them to give him a little more time and he held a garage sale and tried to sell his belongings and we packed what we could and had to donate most of his furniature and what was left. Then he moved in with me. What a shame and I'm pretty sure his bank is one of the ones named. I am so thankful this fraud is being exposed. It has hurt sooooooo many people so badly.

Jul 2nd 2012 5:43PM Good for her you go Lynnn. The overwhelming rash of foreclosures and SW FL is one of the hardest hit is disgusting. I tried to get the H.A.M.P. modification when it came out. My mortgage company jerked me around for over 6 months. They would tell me fax this fax that then claim they never got it. They were rude and nasty.I refaxed everything so many times I can't even tell you.I finally told them fine I will call the tv station have a nice day.I did contact the tv station consumer show via an online form. I called the mortgage company back and told them "Please note this in my records. I contacted 8 On Your Side at the TV station and I give their consumer attorney and investigative reporter my full permission to investigate why I have been unable to get a modification from you and to report the results on their show." I was desperate, my 12 mo teaching job suddenly without warning switched to a 9 month job due to the economy. I wasn't sure it would work but was pretty sure they were jerking me around and didn't want to be exposed. The lady goes " can I put you on hold while I update your records?" 10 minutes later I suddenly qualified for the modification at 2.125% interest and a payment cut almost in half. Otherwise I would be living under a bridge. THANK YOU LYNN FOR EXPOSING THE FRAUD! GOD BLESS YOU HONEY!!!!!

Aug 18th 2010 3:20PM Not teaching our children to write cursive is in effect allowing out children to be partially illiterate. If you can't write cursive you can't read cursive. The Declaration of Independence is written in cursive for heaven's sake! How can they sign their name or read anothers signature. I think this is pure insanity.
