Octomom Joins Cast of New Dating Show: 'First Time I've Dated in My Life' {PopEater}

Jun 23rd 2011 10:28AM I don't think she's ugly. But I wonder why she says that she hasn't dated, but has kids. And this TV show...egads. I think I'd rather watch an operating system install.

McDonald's Sued Over Happy Meal Toys {WalletPop}

Dec 15th 2010 3:05PM Right on! The exact same issues bugged me about this article too. And frankly, what's deceptive about their marketing anyway? They market and sell burgers and fries. They don't say that it's anything but that and write out nutrition info for anyone to see. And I've eaten many of their meals for 50 years and am healthy and thin. My parents taught me that such meals are treats and I had to behave well to get one maybe every other month!

Self responsibilty, parents! Grow up and help your kids do the same!

Woman Says She's World's Heaviest Mom {AOL Health}

Jul 21st 2010 11:31AM Such treatments are for people who want to lose weight and feel better about themselves. This woman likes how she is and wants to be twice as large. I don't understand that, since her weight has already limited her ability to get around, and it's surely causing or aggravating her diabetes, a deadly condition when someone is obese. The complications, such as heart disease, limb loss, and renal failure are only a few I mention off the bat. I've cared for people her size who end up on ventilators because they can't breathe on their own due to their lungs being almost crushed out iof shape by their abdomens, and are so large that they need others to wipe their bottoms after they use the bathroom. Not a life that I would ever want.

Stephen Colbert Speaks of the Evils of the World Cup {Fanhouse Backporch}

Jun 14th 2010 8:37AM I happen to like soccer and wish that it would receive more coverage than it does. I loved to play it as a child, but when I was 13, well-meaning gym teachers took the girls off the field and made us all dance instead. I longed to be tossed a soccer ball instead. Anyway, soccer is exciting. I was watching a world cup gane a couple years ago where the teams were tied. It came down to penalty kicks. I was at work rubber necking a patient's TV at the time, and another nurse came to see what was captivating me and got hooked herself after I explained the penalty kicks. Then another nurse came by and was hooked. The patient cheered as much for our excitement as he did for the game. Another patient needed something, so we had to break up and go, but for 5 minutes, soccer held 3 people from different lands cheering together.

And this is only part of why I like soccer, American as I may be.

Real Estate Firm Puts Up a Sign for 'Whites Only' {BV Black Spin}

Jun 8th 2010 6:43PM I'm white and would not want to move to a place like that if the community was truly that bigoted. If there's anything I truly hate, it's hatred, a strong aversion for someone out of sheer ignorance without true understanding. I make friends with anyone freely and would not want to be somewhere where i could not.

Man fined $65 for letting pet python crawl around Holiday Inn hallway {Gadling}

May 27th 2010 8:51AM I happen to like snakes and would have gotten my camera out to take pictures of him. But, everything in its place. This wasn't fair to regular people, some of whom may have harmed him out of revulsion, because not everyone appreciates interesting animals.

Armless Kicker Tries Out for Indiana State Team {Fanhouse Backporch}

Apr 20th 2010 1:01PM He can be pushed out of bounds or down just like anyone else. But I thought of something else. He can't pick the ball up in a broken play like everyone else. Can he kick it to someone or else run and bat the ball foot to foot like in soccer? That's legal, and he may have that down to an art, living without arms. But, he wou;ldn't really have control of the ball like we're used to, and this may inspire a new ruling on what possession means.
