Anyone who knows even the most basic of orbital mechanics will tell you any vehicle traveling above 25,000 mph is escape velocity from Earth orbit.

How many of you have thought of something, but actually said something completely opposite of what you intended?
I'm certain this cadet's enthusiasm and youthfulness, combined with the lights and excitement of the crowd conspired against her -- not exactly a life-threatening event, but a valuable lesson to be learned to remain calm while stressed and/or under pressure (real or imagined).
I'm also certain this is something she'll have a long time living down with her fellow USAFA cadets (no doubt, she's probably picked up the callsign of "K" -- just like in the "MiB" movies)
