Jun 6th 2012 7:29PM Uhhhhhhhhhhhh...."massive waves" ?????? Shore break, but the photos are very beautiful. I can remember waking up in my house on the North Shore and feeling the ground sort of shake when Waimea was breaking BIG, the kind of BIG that made surfers look like ants. The air would be full of salt and spray and you could just feel the energy....it was magical.

Jul 16th 2010 9:52AM OMG! What if someone uses a tampon as an explosive device!!!!!!! (and yes, tampons do show up on xrays). Let's all just get naked and happy. =-) All jokes aside, I am all for security on all forms of transportation (what about sanning bus and train passengers?) my argument is simply that I think the technology is flawed and can be circumvented.

Jul 16th 2010 8:56AM While I have no real objection to doing what we have to do to be safe from the "crazies" who want to blow up the world and everyone in it, I do question the real effectiveness of this whole body scanning thing. It is well documented that people or groups that want to harm us are very ingenious in their methods. What is to stop them from using gel type explosives inserted in suicide bombers as breast implants or any other medical implant for that matter? The technology is flawed and vulnerable. By the time the "authorities" get these scanners up and running universally, the bad guys will have figured out how to circumvent them or use them to their advantage. I am not sure what the real answer is but I doubt seriously that this is it.

Apr 19th 2010 11:21AM Vaseline is the BEST eye makeup remover! Does not sting and moisturizes the eye area. I also slather it on my feet before bed, put on a pair of white socks and in the morning my feet are as smooth as a baby's bottom. If you have REALLY cracked feet, do the vaseline treatment for a week straight at night and your feet will be perfect. I've been using Vaseline since I was 16 years old and I am now 54 and I have hardly a wrinkle around my eyes!

Feb 24th 2010 10:23AM I was, am, and always will be a "skating mom". My baby girl is 30 now but the bond forged over years of 5am practices, sewing costumes, traveling to competitions, learning about winning and losing, sitting in cold rinks watching your child fall and fall some more and then finally getting that jump...well, Joannie skated her heart out for her mom last night. She sent all her love to the woman who willingly gave her time and encouragement in a sport that is not always kind, by skating a performance that translated into a huge "thank you Mom, I love you so much!" She is with you Joannie, of that I have no doubt. Bless you dear, and may God give you comfort in the following days. You did GREAT kid!

We may not all agree but the fact is that the greatest gift the Good Lord gave us is FREE WILL...the ability to make our own choices and live with the consequences good or bad. It is what seperates us from the apes. I only had two children but that was what was right for me. I can only control ME and I have no authority over anyone else.
