Mom Defends Decision to Give 8-Year-Old Daughter, Britney Campbell, Botox (Video) {Stylelist (Main)}
May 12th 2011 11:20AM To quote another Mom: "Stupid is as stupid does". The word toxin just doesn't sink in to some people, but just how many 'wrinkles' can a young girl have that she could possibly need such a procedure? Just sayin' ...
Are Crying Kids Cute? {ParentDish}
Apr 16th 2010 9:02PM Must we videotape everything in our sad little lives to share with the world? I don't need to watch the video to know the child is upset, & I see upset children everyday at work. But videotaping a crying child for some kind of enjoyment is just kind of creepy, IMHO. But then so are the humungous ear plug holes on the youngsters, and lip/eyebrow/nose piercings, and tattooed bodies that make them look like they are human coloring books. In a few years there are going to be a whole lot of really old saggy pierced tattooed people walking around. Now that'll be something to videotape! ;-)
Andy Rooney Angers Some Viewers (But He's Right) {AOL TV}
Mar 23rd 2010 10:58AM I suggest that required reading be Andy Rooney's book "Common Nonsense". The only people who will find it uninteresting are the uneducated ignorants. That's just my humble opinion.... ;-)
What Movie(s) Have You Walked Out Of? {Cinematical}
Mar 5th 2010 8:00AM The remake of "The Thing", was so bad. I went and waited at a bar & played NTN trivia.
Bake Sales: Let Them Eat Junk! {ParentDish}
Mar 3rd 2010 10:59AM I am really so happy that I grew up in a much less food-fearing age. Home-made goodies were/are the best! I am also glad that I don't have an eating disorder or allergies which apparently all kids have now. I was taught to eat (&enjoy) vegetables & we had snacks too, FROM TIME TO TIME, and we learned to bake our own goodies. Heck, nowadays you can just get all the dough premade, very easy. We had bake sales, pickle sales, cookie sales, whatever to raise monies for field trips or the dances. I don't recall any protesting parents, but then parents these days are in my age bracket or younger, so where their fear comes from I have no idea. Maybe too much television. If you really want less government, keeping them from making assinine laws about what we eat is a good start.
Cleese Not Amused by Divorce Settlement {PopEater}
Aug 23rd 2009 1:36PM She's used to living a lifestyle based on his career! Such the gold digger attitude. I hope he has learned his lesson & will not remarry. He won't live long enough to afford it. There's no law that says you have to be married, especially when one is in their 70's. As for the 'sanctity', I guess that comes with a pretty hefty price tag. Stay single. It's the only way to fly.
The Closer Kitty Passes Away on Show and Real Life {Pawnation OLD}
Jun 27th 2009 7:30PM Thank you for a terrific episode. It is never easy losing a pet, they do become such a special part of your life. "The Closer" is an excellent show & I appreciate the tenderness with which they made this episode.
TV News Daily {Inside TV Blog}
May 19th 2009 11:02AM Another well written show gets cancelled by one of the lousiest networks in town. Maybe a cable channel will be smart & pick it up as USA did with "Monk". Actually, USA has become a really cool channel for me, especially with "Burn Notice" & "Pysch". I cannot understand why TVLand, which I thought was for classic old televison shows, has to put on a program called "The Cougar" . Maybe Fox can take that one from them.
$250 checks sent to seniors on Thursday {WalletPop}
May 8th 2009 7:24PM I guess if you think your $250.00 is a measly amount, you can always donate it to your church (if you have one) or some other charity where $250.00 can go a long way to helping others. Instead of being so bitter about your life, remember there are always those more worse off than you. Quit being so ungrateful & enjoy the things you have that are the most important. (And I don't mean that ipod). = ]
Denise Richards Latest Illustration of Why Wrigley Tradition Needs to Go {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
May 4th 2009 8:11AM I agree with the author of this article, butchering the song is not a good memorial to a beloved person. The poor Cubs have enough bad juju without bringing more bad vibes upon them. As for using Denise Richards, has anyone actually watched her 'reality' show? How can I put this nicely, it stinks! You'd be better selecting a Cubs fan to sing it, at least we'd expect them not to be a pro at singing.
