Aug 23rd 2007 2:07PM This book will be a wonderful gift for Ryan, and I am planning on using it when the 3rd graders study China later this year in our school. Each page is beautifully illustrated and the combination of the fictional story with the factually account makes this book both an adventure and a treasure.

May 13th 2007 5:15PM I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts about "moms who move," especially this interview which offers some wonderful ideas for mother/daughter travel experiences.
With respect to the comments about Emily's Kaufman's book, I would point out that a review in Library Journal stated, "With her light and friendly tone, Kaufman imparts a great deal of useful material. Enjoyable to read and handy for the first-time family traveler, this is recommended for public libraries." As a children's librarian, I read many reviews and use them only as a starting off point before I make a purchase. After reading your post on the Ultimate Book of Family Travel, I believe you gave your readers exactly what they needed to decide if they wanted to explore this book further.
