Tennessee Home Burns as Firefighters Watch {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 7th 2011 10:01AM So much for paying them out of taxes. If they want to extort any kind of fee out of individual home owners, they can be paid out of what they get. Bust that greedy union right now!

Ancient Christian city discovered in Egypt {Gadling}

Dec 5th 2011 10:41AM Some 'rev' you are. Preaching nothing but hate of people who's views you disagree with.

You fit in just fine with the liberal, socialo-communistic hufpoo hate-mob.

Family Wrongly Booted From Home Returns To Wreckage {AOL Real Estate}

Dec 1st 2011 12:09PM >Unfortunately, the story of the Kings is only one of many examples of families who have suffered unjustly at the hands of mortgage lenders.<

Not to mention the twists, turns, backspins, and maze of going thru the obama harp program.

The banks did what jimmy 'everybody should be able to own a home' carter and william jefferson 'if a woman receives welfare she has income, if a man gets unemployment he has a check coming in, they should not be denied homeownership' clinton told them to do.

And neither carter nor clinton did it for any other reason that to get votes. Today we are all stuck with the failure of that program and every other program that traps millions of Americans in slavery to the government every year.

Galley Gossip: How do flight attendants survive on such a small salary? {Gadling}

Nov 29th 2011 10:50AM Waaa waaaa waaaaaaa

If you don't want the job get out of the way so somebody else can have a shot!

I began at UAL SFO in 1997 at $13.07 per hour and it didn't kill me.

If you WANT a career in aviation you'll find a way to work around the pay for as long as necesary. If you want a PAYCHECK, you won't be a good employee no matter where you work or what you do.

The New Homeless: Living Behind the Wheel {AOL Real Estate}

Nov 25th 2011 10:55AM I did something like this for about 22 years, but the other way around.

I lost my job during the carter misadministration and had to depend on family and friends for a place to sleep and bathe for a few years while living in my car. I picked up work when and where I could, and traded up to a 12 year old van. By then end of the 1980s I was working steady enough to rent an apartment, then clinton came to office and before long I was out of work again and back in my van full time.

The instability led me to decide to not get another apartment, instead in 2003 I bought a 14 year old pickup with slide in camper. I lived in that for nearly two years, then bought a 5 year old 21' motor home and found I could park it free of charge at most places that had large parking lots as long as I didn't set up house keeping, leave a mess, or stay more than a few days at a time. I found a place where rent was only $560 per month (had to wait almost a year to get in), and didn't have to drive it around every day. The money I saved on gas I ended up spending on utilities, so it was pretty much a break even situation. It's been nearly 10 years now.

Life could be a lot better, but it could also be a lot worse. I've been a licensed aircraft mechanic for more than 30 years, and I take another job with a carrier in a second if it didn't require I join their union. I've been better off since I got away from them.

Video of the Day - Paraglider collides with vulture {Gadling}

Nov 2nd 2011 1:23PM EXCELLENT training video on being prepared for anything, being aware of your options, keeping calm, and reacting in the proper order.

I would have tried to make one of the more clear areas for my landing, but I wasn't there, so don't have all the info, and can only go on what I saw thru the camera.

Obama's Refinance Plan Explained {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 29th 2011 12:16PM The Federal Housing Finance Agency simultaneously released detailed changes to the Home Affordable Refinance Program, known as HARP. Helping people who are "underwater" on their mortgages -- they owe more than their homes are worth -- sounds like a noble goal. In reality, however, the program won't help that many people and it won't mean much for the economy at large. Enrollment requirements include that one's mortgage must have been owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac since at least May 2009, the current loan-to-value ratio must be greater than 80 percent, and the homeowner must be current on payments. In other words, this will hardly help those facing foreclosure or lift falling home prices.

Ricky Martin: Although being gay makes some people uncomfortable, I'll fight for my rights {Celestrellas}

Oct 17th 2011 10:58AM You're rich, your famous, you've never had to fight for anything. It's all been given to you by better men than you.

And anybody that didn't already know you smoked sausage just hasn't been paying attention.

Census: American Dream of Home Ownership May Be Gone for Good {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 8th 2011 11:14AM Thank you jimmy carter, democrat controlled Congress, and CRA.

Thank you bill clinton, democrat controlled Congress, and ordering banks to "...find a reason to give the loan, not a reason to deny it."

Chicago Family Faces Eviction After Questionable House Raid {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 5th 2011 9:56AM What is really surprising is that the cops obviously didn't put any time into assessing the complaints of drug or gang activity before they stormed in. But then, this is Chicago.

In most cities, even little townships, cops will observe and verify before mounting an invasion.
