Why I Am Relieved Kristen Stewart Won't Be 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' {PopEater}

Jul 24th 2010 2:32PM I couldn't have said it better myself!!!! i am so sick of the "poor, rich and famous me" act she puts on. if she is so miserable, quit making movies!

World's Oldest Mother, 70, Says She's Dying 18 Months After Giving Birth {AOL Health}

Jun 15th 2010 6:52PM I agree that the child will suffer when her mother dies. Her mother's death is caused by a complication from the IVF, not her advanced age, though. The same thing could've happened if she was 30 years old and living in America. The picture at the beginning of this article is heartbreaking... the little girl is so adorable, probably very happy to be held by her "Ma", yet somewhat aware that something is wrong. Her mother is obviously in pain, but even so, feels such joy from holding her much longed for baby. It is a tough and sad situation. It is not a good idea for women of a certain age to risk having a baby, but the desire to be a mother can be so strong, some women will take whatever chances they have to, in order to fulfill that need. Judging her does no one any good... what is done is done. All we should do is be glad this woman was able to experience the wonder and happiness of motherhood, and hope that the little girl will be raised by caring people who will keep her mother's memory alive for her.

"Hachi: A Dog's Tale" DVD Giveaway {Pawnation OLD}

Mar 16th 2010 8:38PM My favorite animal movie is "Antarctica", the true story of a team of sled dogs that were left behind in the 1950's when Japanese researchers had to flee due to an upcoming storm. The movie is so realistic- it's as though cameras were there, following the dogs and the tragic things that happened to them. A year later, two Japanese men went back and two of the dogs had survived. I cried buckets watching it.

Elmo's Era Over? {ParentDish}

Feb 21st 2010 9:03PM this is a stupid article. elmo is still a very popular tv character.

whether or not "tickle me elmo", or toys like that, are popular right now, is a different story.

the toys mentioned in this article are not even appropriate for preschoolers, which is what the elmo character was created for!

i bought my daughter a couple of elmo items for christmas- she was 21 months old at the time. all the elmo items i saw at the stores i frequent were nearly sold out.

due to watching elmo and sesame street, my daughter has increased her vocabulary and learned some of her numbers. "elmo's world" is a 15 minute segment that takes place at the end of "sesame street" and is geared towards preschoolers. elmo controls the situations, talks directly to children and even helps "Mr. Noodle"- an adult- learn what is appropriate behavior and gives kids a chance to see that children can teach others.

AS USUAL, AOL prints an article with a misleading title, by a writer who doesn't know what they are talking about.

Kate Gosselin Chops Off Hair Extensions {ParentDish}

Feb 10th 2010 8:42PM Regarding her extensions- she didn't "chop them off"... they are STILL there, just shorter. Other than her ridiculous, cheap, seasonally- inappropriate outfit, Kate looked nice in these pix.

No one will mistake her for one of Tiger's women with longer extensions... she is just flattering herself. We all know she would be the first to announce it if they had had a relationship.

Brad Pitt & Ryan Reynolds Circle 'Gunsmoke' Remake {Cinematical}

Feb 7th 2010 10:36AM i don't remember how old Matt Dillon is supposed to be... I love Tommy Lee Jones, but he may be too old. Josh Brolin might be good, if not too young- I loved them both in "No Country For Old Men".

Christian Bale and Russell Crowe were really good in "3:10 to Yuma", proving they can carry off an American western. James Arness is such an icon in the Dillon role, however, it is hard to really see anyone else playing it. They would really have to step outside the box and get and actor who will reinvent the character and make it their own.
