Mar 30th 2012 9:09AM Yeh Carpe I just assumed that by using the repelling forces you could use that to create the forces to move the cars. I am not a physicist and will never claim to be, that class was not my best. As for the tubes they described as not being evacuated because of the air but because they were hollow. I get if they are creating an entirely closed system. Thanks for the comment.
Mar 28th 2012 1:49PM Wouldn't you be able to do the same thing without the tubes. Just magnatized rings pushing and pulling from their polarities? Tube part is a little overkill unless you cant control the forces any other way.
Jun 10th 2011 6:54PM Pretty sure the bible, or God, was pretty clear about immorality in general. I take the side of tolerance because what does hatred fix. We all fail(sin) and fall short of the glory of God. Note the word ALL. So only by His grace are we given the oppurtunity to be saved. You can get legalistic and begin to heirarchy the sins, but in general a murderer and a thief both sinned. I feel like sometimes we run from one great debate to another. Love each other people and read the bible. It is yours to understand. If God your heart is right conviction will set in, but no one can make that happen by force.
Feb 22nd 2010 9:22PM You know it seems really funny that in a nation with so many issues the one thing you pick out to harp on is a guy who actually believes in something. I mean, I am a Christian and it does make you feel good to see someone stand up for hat they believe in. Funny too that he gave glory to God even when he missed. So was that looking for the win or being respectful to the One he knew was in control. I think at some point we have to learn to be tolerant of all religions. I am not gonna change your mind of your beliefs, no matter what they are, I can only give you what I know, whether you believe or not is your choice. I will love you the same. So get over yourself and get on with life, you are just holding people back.
Jan 22nd 2010 12:14PM I think the whole thing is rather funny. I mean Haiti has been hurting for years and now, all of a sudden, we need to step up? Are we that blind that we only shoose to see despair when it brings us into the light for helping. God is a jeleous, vengeful God(Ezekial 25). He is also a loving, gentle God(Exodus 34). Maybe if we would look at him as a Father sometimes instead of just this unatainable being we would remember that. I do believe God does punish those that continually disobey. I do not think it is our ability to discern what He is doing.
As for Robertson, maybe he spoke without thinking, something I would say most TV personalities do alot. I am not a fan of TV religion because it seems to be set up for profit not for reaching those that are lost. There are so many that like to preach God wants you to be wealthy and happy if only you will give. That is so not true. Being a follower of Christ and living as a part of the body is probably the hardest thing you can do because we live in a materialistic, flesh infested world. I think for anyone be it Christian or other, living a life that means living your beliefs is hard. Our job is not to judge but to love.
I just wish it would not take such a tragedy for love to blossom.
Oct 29th 2009 12:18PM I don't really get why we keep making such a big deal out of the swine flu when we still lose people to the general flu. Obviously we are still seeing that it would be better to build natural immunities versus the weak vaccines. Along with the fact that they are guessing at what strains. I get that the immune deficient need help, maybe some children, hospitalized, nursing homes and how bout just giving it for FREE to the lower socioeconomic portion of society. Yes I said FREE. If we are so worried about it then do it for nothing. Not on my tax dollar or yours. Better yet give it ten years of no vaccines, watch the total deaths and cases rise for the first six or so then watch them begin to decline under what we see right now with the shots. Its all a sham to keep people in the dark. Just my soap box.
May 8th 2007 9:20PM I just think it is funny that no one here knows Darwins true beliefs. If you want to discuss the Black Box or the theory of evolution go for it, but know the author. His wife was a christian. He himself became a christian. Science is mad up of so many hypotheticals, theories that never becam true laws. Wait am I over your head. You do know that is how things go, right. There is an order to how things become true scientific facts. We are still waiting on that missing link, and will be for a long time.
As for the bible. You better read your history if you truly think it is fiction. Is true to every historical book you want to hold it too. As for the science. Read a little and you will discover even science has found there to be a great flood(probably the demise of the dinosaurs), they have shown the loss of time which is mentioned(God stopped the sun in the sky during a battle) I could keep going. So if you don't want to belive in Christ, that He came, lived as a man and died for all of us....I am sorry.
But if you are going to rampage on about fact and fiction then do your homework.
