Airplane Mishap Photos: Unbelievable, But True! {Gadling}
Apr 26th 2007 3:58PM I actually took the last picture. The tug was bringing the plane to the gate from the hangar. Luckily only a maintenance guy was on board, and the person driving the tug was not seriously injured. The tug being used is a quite expensive supertug (750,000$). It is capable of fairly high speeds while towing a plane. Mix that with some glycol on the ground (the slippery fluid used to deice planes) and heavy breaking while turning and you see the result. I wound up getting a sit down, citation and had to go to a class about violation airport security for taking it afterwards but it was worth it.
