Jun 4th 2012 1:01PM Nice video, sad, but well done. Coming from that generation, Drive-ins ( and the food stands ! ) were part of growing up, and a fun time. Things change, technology changes, but going to the Drive in as a family was a great outing.
Again, great video ! Seeing trees having grown up over the screen tells it all. Thanks for a great memory revisited.

Oct 25th 2011 4:35PM Great article on Americana abandoned. Route 66 was always a dream and a road not taken, unfortunately. And I'm old enough to have dreamed taking that ride when it was still in full swing. As close as I got was watching it on TV.

Aug 8th 2011 4:10PM As so many other comments stated, some of these buildings, though abandoned, still house great treasures in stained glass, organs, and so much more. It is a shame when these buildings just lay empty and rotting, I just wish more people would try to save some of the artifacts.
One parish I worked for bought its pipe organ from an abandoned catholic church, the organ had been blocked off by walls put around it to make offices. Now it has a new, and loving home, for the next 100 years.
And as one writer stated, TIFFANY windows ???? Good grief, what a treasure.
