Sarah Palin Turns 45 Today. What Present Would You Give Her? {Politics Daily}
Feb 12th 2009 11:43AM Dear Sarah;
For your birthday I would like you to experience the agony of the wolves who have been shot and kille by aircraft in your state. as you know that the families of these animals are very close knit, I would like to sponsor a trip to you in the wild to live with a pack of these noble animals so you can experience their habitat and, perhaps, also the unnecessary destruction you have brought them. and bring one of your pets so they can feast. ron bobel.

Obama's Non Sequitur {News Bloggers}
Mar 5th 2008 6:27PM carter abandoned the shah? he was thrown out by the iranians themselves. do you think that everytime someone is deposed it is because an american president didnt support him. it is quite the opposite. we were responsible for deposing mossadeq and bringing back the shah. we were responsible for deposing arbenz and bringing in long years of military dictatorship in guatemala. we were responsible for the death of allende and bringing in the repressive pinochet. in all these cases we were responsible for deposing democratically elected governments and bringing in hated dictatorships. ronbo.

Who's in Denial? {News Bloggers}
Apr 24th 2007 10:30AM Harry Reid is shameful? No! What is shameful is the Bush Administration getting us into the wrong war based on false premises. The enemy was in Afghanistan and Bush cut and run when our special forces had Bin Laden trapped at Tora Bora. Then we invaded Iraq based on WMD that werent there, an Al Queda presence that wasnt there,and a nuclear program that had been dismantled even though Bush lied when he said that Saddam was intent on purchasing yellow cake from Niger. Then he tried to slander the Wilsons by outing his wife for which Libby has been convicted as a felon.
Clinton and Bush the elder had Saddam in a box and the Kurds were prospering. Now Al Queda is strong and growing stronger in Iraq and Iran has been strengthened. We have plunged Iraq into a civil war which many had predicted before Bush and Cheney sent in the troops. Four million Iraquis have been displaced and Johns Hopkins indicates that 600,000 have died because of this war.
But after Bush and Cheney the most shameful are Rummy and Wolfie. The latter assured us that the war would finance itself through oil revenues and said Shinseki was wrong when he said that at least 300,000 troops would be needed. For these tragic mistakes he was given the World Bank job where he has run amok giving big pay packages to cronies and consorts. And Rummy said "you go to war with the army you have and not the one that you might wish you had" and "we dont know what we dont know". He is the same Rummy who sat smiling at Saddam well after the latter had slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Kurds and other dissidents.
Because of this war we have a massive budget deficit and the only sacrifice is of our troops and not Bush's wealthy supporters who get tax cuts at a time of war. When asked about their sacrifice all Bush can say is that they have lost their peace of mind. Has Halliburton lost its peace of mind making millions from no bid contracts in Iraq and then cut and running to Dubai? In the meantime China is concentrating on business tying up natural resource deals all over the world and accumulating a chest of over a trillion dollars of foreign exchange reserves. It is becoming stronger while we are becoming weaker. And China brings over leaders from 40 countries in Africa to China to further solidify its standing there. On the other hand when Bush goes abroad he is shielded from public view while Hugo Chavez speaks to thousands in full view of everyone. What does this say about our leadership?
And getting back to Reed, whenever there is any critique of this disaster, there is the charge of not being patriotic. Read Thomas Jefferson about this type of slander. The ones who are not patriotic are Bush and Cheney who have gotten us into this mess based on lies. They send thousands to be killed and maimed but when it was their chance during Vietnam they never left the USA. I served in Vietnam; where were they?
I think it certain that they will be charged with war crimes by the international criminal court and will be detained along with Rummy if any of them step foot in Europe after this term is over. They will be the equivalent of Pinochet.
Finally, Bush hangs on to Gonzales and Wolfie after both have discredited themselves. Reid was right when he said that Bush may have been in the state of Michigan during the Gonzales hearing but he was really in the state of denial.
Is this Bush bashing? Rightfully so. He deserves it.
No mas.
