How To Turn Your Daypack Into A Traveling Office {Gadling}

Sep 12th 2012 1:12PM I've been racking my brain about this dilemma for sometime now. So which ones (models) would you recommend?

Video of the Day: Zipline Fail {Gadling}

Oct 26th 2011 1:35PM When we were in Costa Rica and decided to go zip lining, during one of the runs, the cable from the tree slightly came undone (think: boinggoinnn....). We gasped at the sight. The company nonchalantly wrapped it back onto the tree and pretended as if nothing happened.

It's a good thing the guy above didn't break his neck!

It's a good thing we didn't die on our zip line 100ft above the ground!

Where Would You Travel for a Meal? {Gadling}

May 19th 2011 7:03PM I had a friend in college who flew to Taiwan to eat and shop for the weekend. Albeit she was pretty rich (and didn't mind not sleeping).

Great, now I'm hungry for night market food.

VIDEO: Chinese popcorn cannon {Gadling}

May 19th 2011 6:56PM My grandparents had a popcorn vendor like this in Taiwan years ago under a railroad track and it's one of the fond memories from childhood. They pop the popcorn, pour molasses over it, and then compress it into blocks for a wonderful treat. It tastes similar to the popcorn balls of this age. SO good.

Top 10 types of travel theft (and how to be safe) {Gadling}

Apr 12th 2011 12:23AM Btw, I second the wire-reinforced camera strap and bags. Word of caution is that the camera strap that was to protect against slashing came apart at the seams by itself. Irony.

Apr 12th 2011 12:21AM When I was in Prague for the first time, I was fleece by a restaurant using the 'lost in translation' card for the 20% tip. On the menu it said it's included but when the bill came they demanded 20% tip bc it needs to be included. Mind you, the table next to us didn't have to pay the extra 20%. A good trip turned sour for sure. Lesson? Don't eat in any of the tourist restaurants in the Old Town Square.

Apr 8th 2011 8:03PM Where can we buy these retro posters?

How much have you paid for hotel internet access? {Gadling}

Apr 6th 2011 8:53PM There have been lots of times I've paid for internet at a casino/hotel in Las Vegas (listen up, Harrah's chain) when the bandwidth I got was less than that of a 1200bps modem from the early 1990s. That's just $15 for nothing.

United Airlines celebrates 85 years of flying with a retro livery Airbus A320 {Gadling}

Apr 6th 2011 8:50PM Wait... How is this different from any OTHER United plane and crew?
