Looks Like Jessica Simpson Did Buy Osbourne Home in Hidden Hills, Calif. {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 14th 2013 4:27PM Karen: I guess she can afford to write a check for $12.5 million. I have $12,000 in my checking account, which means I can buy a house selling for $1,000. Will that get me a cardboard box on Kauai? Actually, I am worth more than O.J. Simpson, whom I thought the article was about until I read it.
The 'Manliest' Cities Where Real Men Live {AOL Real Estate}
Jun 16th 2012 6:02PM I'm not surprised at OKC being #1 but I lived in Omaha for two years and it is another manly town which didn't even make the top 50. I grew up in Milwaukee and see that it dropped from #8 to #19 (11 spots) in one year! I'm not surprised - Milwaukee is becoming over-run with feminisits and lesbians. Real men;stay away from Milwaukee. You will not like it! I haven't lived there in 35 years.
New York City's worst rated hotels {Gadling}
Jan 26th 2012 2:00PM I have been to NYC over 200 times, all on business, and never stay at a hotel west of 7th avenue. I usually stayed at the Marriott Essex House across from the south end of Central Park or the 7th Av Sheraton and a few times at the Rockefeller Center Hilton. One time I stayed at the Barbizon, which was usually reserved for women.
One time the Sheraton put me in a room designed for Liberace. It was entirely pink, but it was a large, clean room. Liberace was not in NY at the time.
Meet Rat Island's New Big Cheese {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 5th 2011 12:29PM cathy: Real estate taxes may be low because there are no city services, i.e. utilities, school, police, fire protection, etc.
I didn't think one could buy a cardboard box in New York for $160,000. I'll bet 'The Donald' is pissed because he missed out on this auction. He'll probably fire someone for not advising him.
I just hope gangs or other thugs don't infringe on this man's peoperty.
Zappos' New Ad Campaign: Naked Ambition {Stylelist (Main)}
Jul 11th 2011 2:27PM connie: Your male description fits me perfectly. I would do nude for the right price.
Tammy Wynette's Daughter on Pain, Redemption and a Faked Kidnapping {PopEater}
Jul 10th 2011 10:02AM I have always liked both George and Tammy, as both singers and people. They both had their faults as do all of us but George may be the 'greatest country singer...' as many imply and Tammy had a pure voice added by that 'crack' in her delivery that seems so sincere and gave her a style that could never be duplicated.
I am going to read Georgette's book but if you are looking for 'dirt' you may as well avoid it.
Jessica Simpson | Style Evolution {Stylelist (Main)}
Jul 10th 2011 9:44AM Barbara: She is - I think the cutest in Hollywood. She looks more svelt in black as do most people, female or male. Others I like are Martina McBride (cute and great legs), Nicole Kidman (fell in love with her after seeing 'Dead Calm' - her first U.S. release) and Diane Lane, who will be forever beautiful.
Jessica Simpson | Style Evolution {Stylelist (Main)}
Jul 10th 2011 9:41AM That colorful 'dress' makes Jessica loook chubby. The black dress makes her look svelt. Slightly obese women (and men)should wear black unless they live in 100 degree temperatures.
I personally think Jessica Simpson is the cutest woman in movies or music. If you like more mature ladies I would pick Martina McBride, Nicole Kidman or Diane Lane.
Roy Orbison's Widow Recalls His Love of Music, Style and Film on His 75th Birthday {Spinner}
Apr 23rd 2011 12:32PM I knew Roy from our first acquaintance at Nick's Nicabob in Milwaukee, when country wasn't cool - but Nick got all the top artists, including Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Ray Price, etc.
I met with Roy often due to our mutually heavy travel schdules. I caught his gigs as often as possible. He was modest, friendly and had the greatest voice in pop music. He was to singing/songwriting as Les Paul was to guitar playing and musical innovation.
It's no wonder the artists noted in the article revere Roy...and Les. They are also great musicians.
I thank AOL for publishing this commemoration article on what would be Orbison's 75th birthday, April 22nd.
Steve Earle Finds Himself More 'Alive' Than Ever {The Boot}
Mar 26th 2011 5:21PM According to the AMA, alcoholism IS a disease. It starts out as a bad choice but is diagnosed as alcoholism when it affects the mind, the spirit, the pancreas, the liver and other mental and physical attributes.
I report - you decide.
