Say Hello to the new TUAW {TUAW.com}

Sep 30th 2008 10:51AM I'm diggin' everything about the redesign, except for the logo. As a bilingual ex-pat living in Latin America, I also read the Apple leaf as an accent mark, as some have suggested here already.

Also, as a graphic designer, I'm quite unhappy with the typeface used there. It's too reminiscent of Impact or Tekno, fonts which look VERY mid-2000s. Why not just stick to Myriad or other fonts that Apple itself have used?

The line between web and "real" apps on the iPhone {TUAW.com}

Jun 12th 2007 4:28PM Let's not forget about Google Gears, which is Google's developing technology for taking web apps OFFline. That means the iPhone would be able to use these apps without having to be "online." And since Apple and Google have been working closely on the iPhone, I suspect this is where it's going.

Apr 10th 2006 10:48AM Where's the link to the piece?

PS. It's Puerto Montt and carabineros, not carabinieri, though the name does come from Italy's police force.

"Salma Hayek" Lobster Discovered {Gadling}

Mar 9th 2006 10:04AM First of all, it's Salma not Selma Hayek. Second, as a Latino, I feel a little offended by the hairy goddess comment.
