Dec 18th 2007 12:16PM IF IT WAS ANY OF YOU ON THIS PARTICULAR CRUISE THAT WE WERE ON, YOU WOULD BE COMPLAINING AS WELL, AND PROBABLY LOUDER AND MORE VOCAL THEN OTHERS. I POSTED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE WE COULD HAVE DONE, NOT TO BE WHIPPED BY YOUR COMMENTS ON HERE, UNLESS YOU CAN BE HELPFUL, YOU ARE OF NO USE TO ME! SO HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT??

Dec 18th 2007 8:05AM We usually cruise on Carnival, last July 06 we took a cruise out of Long Beach to the Mexican Riveira, we came upon 2 hurricanes which caused us to miss stopping at Cabo, the captain decided that because the weather was bad, to bypass Cabo and stop at Ensenada instead, we were very upset but understood the weather was a factor, on route to Ensenada the ship lost complete power, due to engine problems, we were DEAD in the water until the ship was brought back to life which took almost 6hours to repair, because of this we were told that we wouldn't have time to visit Ensenada and we were returning home! All the passengers were now enraged!! we understood about weather conditions and not stopping in Cabo, (natural diaster) but the ship breaking down was NOT our problem nor was it an act of God, the captain insulted us by giving us a $25.00 per person on board credit..and thats it!!! When all the passengers found this out, we almost had a Mutiny! When my husband and I arrived back home we wrote many many emails to Carnival's CEO explaining how slighted we felt, and being a past carnival cruiser by 3X we thought we would have been shown something much better then a $25 a person on board credit perhaps a discount on a future cruise, well needless to say we never heard anything back from Carnival, nor anyone from Customer Service..This ship breaking down was NOT our problem, nor was it the problem of any of the passengers, and we were infuriated that we were shown NO respect as to how this was handled! Word of mouth is a very powerful tool in this business, one person tells 10 and that person tells 10 and so on...We cruise every year, sometimes my husband and I alone, sometimes with our daughters and their spouses, sometimes with friends, and i have to honestly say because of this incident we will never ever cruise Carnival again unless we see something from Carnival Inc. which i doubt will ever happen..my question is to all of you out there, in your opinion, was there anything else we could have done to recieve any satisfaction?
