Recently did a dna track & found that my closest relatives are on the Orkneys.
My 8th great GF came fron Scotland in 1752, so I guess it's possible.

There are always two sides to every story.
This is a long standing dispute (3-4 years) started when his residential neighbors complained to the City about all the traffic 3 times/week. This is a 40 seat sanctuary with a pulpit, folks. Maybe a legit complaint, maybe just a crabby neighbor.
Court ruled two years ago that he could build a church on his property if he complied with the zoning & safety code rules, just like other churches.
He didn't think it was any of their business.
They disagreed.
Rather than this being an apocalyptic event as some would suggest, this is both sides acting badly.

Done through the years the thing that stood out the most about Pete was his attitude...always pissed and confrontational about something, always down on someone. I used to think it was just showmanship and trying to stay in the headlines. More likely he was just an AH.

Mar 21st 2011 10:16PM That wasn't a huge mistake, that was a simple mistake. The huge mistake was the drama queen passenger reacting with rude & arrogant behavior because she thought she was morally superior to people who don't share her vegan life style..typical of the young & spoiled.
If someone wants to be a veggie for dietary/health reasons, that's one thing, but the truth is WAY more animals die due to cultivation practices in row cropping the beans & grains & things that keep vegans going than die in slaughter houses every year. Unless you hand cultivate your own food, you don't have a moral leg to stand on.

That's not a Cottonmouth in slide #5. It's a non-poisonous common banded water snake. That's what you get letting city kids put something like this together.
The slide about the Kauai beach is the real deal. I was there & that sign named names & dates of everyone that thought they could swim there & stay out of trouble. A long list of dead people. If you have ever had to fight a rip tide, it's scary as hell.

May 1st 2010 1:22PM For every woman that is emotionally & financially secure enough to be a mother and chooses not to do so, there are hundreds and thousands who are not fit that wind up in that position anyway.
In this overpopulated, polluted world where no one knows how we will feed everyone in 25 years and there is no effective effort to correct these problems, this woman's decision is not a bad thing.
Regardless of the reasons for her decsion, in this day & age less is more.

For all the comments about standing up to a bully, most of the time bullies pick on the ones that don't stand a snowball's chance of beating them. The leave the kids they think have a chance of beating them alone. Every now & then they screw up and pick on a kid who doesn't look tough but winds up handling them.
It takes a very brave kid to stand up to someone who outweighs them 40 lbs in middle school, knowing they will get pasted. It doesn't happned often.
