Galley Gossip: How do flight attendants survive on such a small salary? {Gadling}
Nov 29th 2011 11:55AM I believe the cutting of their hours happened when they (the pilots & flight attendants) complained about being devoid of enough sleep. And now with legislative changes - this is what they have been left with. Enjoy your sleep....
Some needs to tell those who made these changes that it is wrong to be made to trade sleep for an inadequate living wage. . . The law went too far as they many times do!
Galley Gossip: How do flight attendants survive on such a small salary? {Gadling}
Nov 29th 2011 11:48AM In previous times (when they were still called 'flight attendants') they made lots of money - seems to me they had more monthly hours (which accounted for more money in their bank accounts); my friends were so flush with money they bought condos, homes, etc., and basically lived very good lives. Seems like the cutting of their monthly hours is what has caused their financial defitcits! Because, $20 and hour is a great hourly wage! In my opinion, 100 hours per month should be their minimum, not 70. Where is their Union rep? The Union should be fighting this! The average full-time worker in America has to work 40 hours per week to be considered full-time. So that means the flight attendant jobs of today are part-time. And unless they have a flexible 2nd job or home-based business in the off times they will continue to struggle....
Also, as part-time workers it is my understanding that they do enjoy benefits that most part-time workers (in other types of jobs don't get to enjoy).......RIGHT?
Starbucks vs. Dunkin': A New Breakfast Sandwich Taste Test {Slashfood}
Mar 31st 2011 8:04AM (imo) Subway subs would be greatly improved if they used a better quality BUN (sourdough, pumpernickle and rye sub breads); and Bore'sHead meats. . . . with a better tastier choice of cheese's AND I'd like to see meatballs, tuna and chicken salad filling added. . . If they made these changes I would try them again, if not - - they have lost me forever as a customer.

Mar 31st 2011 7:48AM I beg to differ with you on price. While traveling and hungry - - I checked out the food area of the fuel stations / fast-food store. What a culinary disappointment and $pricey$ too. . . . everything was pre-packaged and pricey and the choices were deficient..... I think it was a shell station.
Luckily down the road a piece just before I hit the highway again, there was a tiny drivethru Starbucks. I checked out the menu and prices and order the ham and egg sandwich. The price was less than the fast-food (prewrapped) gas station choice AND bigtime delicious too...... I would have been willing to pay more for the fresher and healthier sandwich from Starbucks anyday. . .

Mar 31st 2011 7:40AM Sorry, but Subway's breads are awful in my opinion. . . And I'm equally non-interested in the questionable fillings they call meat. . . I can't recall ever having such a tasteless sub !!! I tried a few different choices but all were void of taste or health.....(imo)
Starbucks vs. Dunkin': A New Breakfast Sandwich Taste Test {Slashfood}
Mar 31st 2011 7:36AM I never order plain coffee at Starbucks because they are 'known' for their Latte's etc., and in my opinion those Latte's are the best (a real 'treat'). . . . only once was I disappointed - when I was visiting in Georgia (and in a big box store) where they had a Starbucks. The server shorted the coffee shot - so the Latte was like tea. I complained - - they made me a new one - - and I never went back to that particular location ever again. But as a whole, Starbucks is consistently great on Latte's and the other specialty coffee drinks......

Mar 31st 2011 7:29AM (imo) Sometimes the server or preparer is not watchful of what is tossed inside each food item; but I wouldn't blame this matter on Starbucks as a whole. You just got unlucky this one time. If this were to happen consistantly at the location you visited - - then complaints need to be made so they can make improvements......
Starbucks vs. Dunkin': A New Breakfast Sandwich Taste Test {Slashfood}
Mar 31st 2011 7:25AM But the Starbucks breakfast egg and ham or bacon sandwich (with that wonderful bread square) is DELICIOUS. . . .
Plus, I'm sick of these fast-food places that serve horrible bread buns that are like paste in you mouth and ever so flimsy and non-healthy. I've been waiting years for these places to up the bread quality, so I'm very pleased that Starbucks has stepped up to the plate..... and no one can beat their coffee in my opinion......
7 Signs You're in a Manipulative Relationship {MyDaily}
Mar 21st 2011 10:38AM A friend of mind actually taped the nasty control freak and played it back to him, even he couldn't believe how he came across to others (until he saw the tape); his behavior started a turn-around.... But make sure the manipulator won't lash out in an inappropriate manner (it could get tricky).

Mar 21st 2011 10:33AM My point exactly, they don't usually change until they are about to lose for a second time....and some of them NEVER learn...
