United/Continental has the rudest.
We flew to Europe TWICE with them... and TWICE.. we had our airfare discounted for the next flight. We never used the 3rd one.
My wife got into an argument with a "steward" because he said my 3 year old son kept touching him. Weird considering our son was asleep the ENTIRE flight.
We think we got him fired ... we got some email later stating they were investigating him for trying to use the incident (and others like it) to gain free backpay via his union (or something like that - it was rather confusing).
The flight before that, we watched the pilot break up a FIST FIGHT between a stewardess and a passenger over her seating assignment.
Our complaints were met with stone-faced un-empathetic employees. We finally complained to the Fed Transportation Admin. and got the ball rolling.

Sep 26th 2012 9:35PM I know the "hangover" cure sounds ridiculous... but it couldn't be ANY MORE true.
A few years ago, I went out partying one night and drank one too many martinis.
Went to Six Flags the next day. I could hardly walk and, in fact, was trying to get out of it. But my company was sending me there as part of a promotional campaign... and I had to be there.
1st up? The Batman.
I thought I was going to puke all over everyone!!!! BUT --- by the end of the ride... my headache was gone and I was no longer sick!!!
Since then, I've always said: with a hangover? Ride a rollercoaster!!! (just pray you don't puke first)

Nov 23rd 2011 8:51PM Vaugh... I'm not 100% sure... but I think there are FAA requirements regarding that very thing. I believe (and don't take this to the bank) they have to keep the seats for the flight attendants open during takeoff, climb, descent and landing for THEIR safety - in case of emergency they can take their seats, buckle up, in a moment's notice.
That said: if I were a flight attendant in that position... I would certainly be offering my seat. That's horrible.

Nov 23rd 2011 3:02PM Man.... did you see how violently that shook him in his seat? I had to watch it two or three times before I realized it.
Thank God he's ok. He probably felt like someone threw him into a blender!

Jun 19th 2011 1:24AM I was never much of a Bruce Springsteen kinda guy (though I did enjoy his music - and went to one of his shows once).... but my wife and her friends have been following Bruce and the E Street Band with all her NJ and Canadian friends since the beginning at the Stone Pony. And, they are TRULY heartbroken over this. You'd think my wife lost her brother or something.
Anyway, I enjoyed listening to him play - my wife adored him.

May 8th 2011 12:58AM Uh... yeah... I learned to fly and NEVER did that over civilization.
We ALWAYS go to the practice area... like most pilots. So, in the event of an emergency or miscalculation, nobody on the ground dies.
I seriously doubt they're going to train their pilots on handle their aircraft, suffering from an emergency loss of yaw (rudder, yaw dampener) OVER the airport, even in Russia. Besides, I'm pretty sure Russians have the technology for flight simulators.

May 8th 2011 12:53AM I agree ... yaw damper or lack of rudder control altogether - but, is a lack of yaw, or interference, going to continually push the nose over like that? It was almost as if the aircraft had a 50 mph tail wind.
I've never seen that. Never heard of that. Thank God he had his hand underneath that plane.
