Dec 17th 2011 10:24PM i do not know any veterinarian who does not wish they could do what they do for free. it is not possible right now. a vet clinic has silly things like power, water and sewer bills, there are costs that go into bio-hazard disposal, and building up keep. not to mention that they need a staff. (most people do not work for free) the veterinarian also has a home to pay for, student loans that are more then most people's mortgage and bills associated with life. the staff has a family to support too. i do know anyone who works in the field who does not have pets.

Jul 5th 2010 5:45AM i can understand docking the tail if there is an injury to the tail that has not been responsive to medical management. for example, tail gets closed in a door. tails are difficult to fix because an bandages don't stay on well, and tends to hit things. unless the dog has an existing injury leave the tail alone.

May 22nd 2010 6:40PM my dog has his own bed, same with the cat. they normally come to my bed in the middle of the night after i have fallen to sleep. i also prefer being woken up to a doggy nose in the face or my cat purring then the alarm clock anyway.
