Cruise Ship Damaged by Massive Wave in Antarctic {AOL Travel News}
Dec 8th 2010 2:58PM I was on a cruise of the Western Carribean several years back where we not only had windows breaking all over the ship becuase of the 40-50 foot waves, but rooms became flooded, the ship ran out of dramamine because even the staff had to take it to keep their stomach contents down. On the same trip the front of the ship was lifted by a water spout, and we had an earthquake at one of our port of calls so we could not take a tender there and that leg of the trip was eliminated. The captain said it was the worst trip in his 35 years of sailing. The one in the story above pales in comparison to the horrific adventure we had!
Mall of America gets luxury hotel on the Fed's dime {Gadling}
Aug 21st 2010 9:19AM There has never been a hotel "adjoining the Mall of America". I have lived here my whole life and to to the MOA at least once a week. Just like when they did the nationwide search for the best sites to build this mall, Mps/St Paul won because it is very white collar, high tech, high disposable incomes. The area is very cosmopolitan and there is alot of money there! They literally have people flying in on charters from as far away as Japan every day, and have more visitors every day then Disney World! There were nay-sayers when this was built that it would never work, and they have proved them all wrong. We need a higher end hotel attached, as the other ones surrounding it are good, but not 4 or 5 star. I have no doubt this hotel will succeed. I can't wait!

Peyton a Double Agent? Some Think So {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Feb 23rd 2010 2:26PM My gosh! I am not even a big football fan, nor am I originally from Indiana. However, having lived in IN for 5 years, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Manning is a class act. He gives a huge chunk of his money to charity, he paid for a children's hospital in Indianapolis, he volunteers tirelessly and without fanfare, and he is about as good a guy as anyone could dare to dream of. This guy handwrites letters to young football players in the league when they do something extraordinary to tell them what a great play they made or what great leadership they displayed. Anyone who questions this guys ethics or morals is simply stupid! Seriously. You all need to get a grip. This guy is probably the most well respected and squeaky clean football player in the NFL.

'Jon & Kate Plus 8' to End in November {Inside TV Blog}
Oct 15th 2009 5:13PM The show brought lots of opportunities and exposure to those kids that they might not otherwise have had. The trips and day jaunts to fun activities---most will be gone now. The children were not harmed by the show, their lives were enhanced. People seem to confuse the divorce antics from the show antics. The truth is that the kids would find out about their lying, no good father on the web--either way---on or off a show! He went on national television a few days ago and swore he did not take out the $230,000 from their bank account--all but calling Kate a liar. Now we find out from the judge that HE DID remove the money and has to return it. This guy is scum. I don't know how anyone would want to be with him. Thank God for those kids that they have Kate. She is the only true parent. I hope Kate gets gig after gig as her job to make money for the family and Jon loses out on everything. He is a pig!
TLC Halts Filming of 'Plus 8' Kids; Jon and Kate Battle Through Statements {PopEater}
Oct 1st 2009 2:21PM You said it Lisa! Absolutely dead on. He is being cut out from the money/show and now he is attempting to make sure Kate and the kids get none as well. I am also sick of hearing how the show is bad for the kids. If you were like me, you filmed alot of their lives growing up--this is no different. They parents would be divorcing on or off screen. They say that 98% of their lives on not on television, leaving them plenty of time to do what they do. The kids will be set financially for college (as both Jon and Kate have said they put away money for from the show) and the kids are exposed to trips/things they otherwise would not have an opportunity to do if they weren't on the show. Get a grip people. The show is not hurting the kids--their good for nothing Father's behavior is!
Exclusive: Gosselin Nanny Admits Affair {PopEater}
Sep 17th 2009 9:44AM Diane, You said a mouthful! You are right on target. I hate these "women hating" people out there who simply cannot stand a strong, intelligent woman. Thank God those kids have Kate in their lives because kids need structure and unconditional love, and she is the only parent doing that for them right now. Kate has been and always will be "all about the children", but Jon clearly is out for what he can get for himself--whether that be sexual, promotional, money or otherwise. My prediction is that the show will drop Jon because he is a huge liability. Can you imagine his two twins googling their father's name at school? Devastating!!! As for rumors about Kate having an affair with her bodyguard--you have to have the brain the size of a pea to think that. For the last time, Kate is best friends with his wife! They all three do everything together! Get over it!
Hot Seat: Should TV Pundits Come Clean? {Politics Daily}
May 20th 2008 6:37PM I agree wholeheartedly!! MSNBC was my favorite cable news channel because they always presented an unbias view of the news. Matthews and Olbermann might as well be wearing "Obama for President" stickers on the air!! It is truly that obvious. They both poo-poo people saying that, but when they watch their coverage back in a few years, they will be more objective. In the mean time, they have single-handedly put Barak Obama on the map!!!
