Do solo adventures break up relationships? {Gadling}
Oct 9th 2009 1:42PM This just happened to a friend of mine, his girlfriend of three years was on a volunteer trip to Haiti for two months and broke up with him the day of her return. Complete surprise, they had no issues beforehand (according to him). I think I agree with the "perspective-altering" theory, that her eyes were opened to a new world that he wasn't a part of or wasn't as excited as her about.

Sep 4th 2009 5:34PM Excellent read, keep it coming. I'm enjoying the historical aspect; as a history major who has studied ancient English history, it's always great to refresh my memory (especially hearing it from the first person).

Chateau in Charente, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Jan 29th 2009 12:27PM I'm guessing it's more of a bandwidth issue than anything else. This way, not as many people are viewing the Estate of the Day pictures and Luxist saves a bundle on bandwidth. Seems kind of frugal, no?

Jan 12th 2009 11:44AM I agree with speed, I enjoyed the article. It's nice to see a perspective on a controversial sport that isn't just a negative knee-jerk reaction. Thanks for your thoughts, Mike.

Nov 14th 2008 11:03AM The question was "Favorite Places Travelled", not "Favorite Countries Travelled." Bali is a place. Douche.

Nov 4th 2008 4:21PM You read the Citizen, Deidre? Crazy. I thought you lived in the States...
I read an article about this place in a magazine (Conde Naste, I think) awhile back, it sounds amazing. Especially the open-air concept.

Oct 17th 2008 12:28PM Do you mind if I ask what you do for a living, Jerry? It just seems like you have a lot of time/money to travel, and I'm a little jealous :)
