An Inside Look At The Old TWA Terminal At JFK {Gadling}

Oct 8th 2012 6:22PM My favorite of that era was Pan Am with TWA a close second. Although alot has changed, I still love to fly. I do admit the first time I wore jeans on a flight I thought the world might come to an end.

Toning Sneakers for Men & Women {Shopping Articles Blog}

Jan 8th 2011 8:28PM What about what I think are the original balance/toner shoes.MBTs or Massi Balance Technology shoes have been available for several years in catalogues before the better known brands got on the band wagon. They are pricey but wow are they wonderful. I work in a hospital on my feet for 12 hrs at a time. I used to change shoes several time during a shift.. The first time I put on my MBTs I never took them off. They are the only shoes I wear at work. My posture improved, better calf definition and my back stopped aching. I have tried Sketchers but found my feet tended to pronate too much. But what ever works for you they are the right ones.

Do Toning Shoes Really Work? {That's Fit}

Aug 12th 2010 1:55AM I got the MBTs about 2+ years ago. They have held up very well. They took some getting used to. Subjectively. My posture is much better, I have had toning in my legs and butt andthey are very very comfortable. I do use them exclusively for work (12 hr shifts running around a hospital). I got some of the Sketcher sandles and love them too. Not as much effect but good. I then got the Sketcher toning sneakers. For runing around the the grocery store etc they were fine but for my 1 mile daily walks NO WAY. After 1/4 mile I was pronating so badly I went bare foot until I got back to the car and switched to the sandles to finish the walk.
If I could afford another pair of MBTs I would get them in a heart beat.

Jerry Garcia Remembered: The Grateful Dead Live On 15 Years After His Passing {Spinner}

Aug 6th 2010 9:27PM More than one generation has been been influenced by Garcia's music. I am glad I was one of them. Just listening to the songs in the article brings a smile to my face and great memories to my mind.

Pink ribbon overkill: Are companies exploiting breast cancer campaigns? {Daily Finance}

This time, a passenger struck a flight attendant {Gadling}

Feb 10th 2008 3:35PM I am suprised that some on the former and current FAs have failed to point out the following. THEIR PRIMARY JOB IN SAFETY! With the video presentation of the safety rules it is easy to forget that there is a person who is charged with your safety. Its not the pilot or an air marshall. It is the flight attendent. Get your mind around that. He or she is the one who open's the doors, activates the rafts and slides, helps the idiot who took an exit row seat for the extra leg room but is not capable of doing the job and hopefully gets you out of the plane safely.

If you cann't follow the simple preflight and inflight rules how the heck are you going to respond in an emergency?? I would be rude to you too because your failure to comply puts every one at risk. That laptop, briefcase or purse you fail to stow can injure or kill some one in a rapid decent. Don't do up your seat belt. Have fun in a wheel chair the rest of your life when you break your neck hitting the ceiling.

Yes air travel isn't the way it used to be, more relaxed and dare I say fun. Two parents trying to contain 6 kids, 3 under the age of 4 is not fun for them or the passengers around them. Except for the safety issues it is not the FAs problem. You weigh 300 lbs and you were assigned a middle seat 2 months ago when you booked your flight but didn't bother to get it changed. Then you demand 2 seats on a full flight and shove the FA on top of me because there is no way in hell she can find you a seat because no one is going to switch with you after your screaming match. Or what about the mom who decides to change the baby's diaper on the seat next to me and put the dirty diaper in the seat pocket along with the unbagged baby wipes. Or the drunk one seat ahead of me who can't get the airphone to work and tries to assault the FA to him to make it work.

FAs and the passengers ar all effected by this behavior. You may be the next to ask a question and get the glare, be ignored or sarcasm. We are all confined in a small space which magnifies everything, noise emotions and tempers. Bottom line DON'T PISS OF THE ONEWHOSE JOB IT IS TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.!!!

'American Idol' Goes to Jail {AOL Video Blog}

Mar 25th 2007 11:54AM Just because someone is in prison doesn't mean they don't have talent. A few of these guys do. All the publicity Sheriff Joe gets on housing inmates in tents and pink clothing shows he isn't soft on his inmates. I'd rather live in this state which treats prisoners like the criminals they are than in some whose idea of punishment is no tv or gym for a week. If these prisoners are brave enough to get up and sing with or with out talent more power to then. Bravo to them and Sheriff Joe. I live in Arizona and am a retired cop.
