Nov 13th 2009 12:19PM You forgot snot projecting out of one nostril sans tissue--which I saw some lovely mainlander tourists do at Taipei's Shihlin night market after they finished their meal next to me. I nearly threw up.

Nov 12th 2009 11:30AM Btw, did you notice that the lowest class (3rd class) is called Pu-ke? Get it? puke? That's where you hang with the chickens and goats.

Feb 21st 2009 7:30PM As for padding in your covert-op bag of choice, consider something that's a bit more padded and more permanent. What if you do need to wear that fleece or jacket when the weather turns? Chances are you'll also hide away your camera at the same time--that equals no padding. As an option, get gear wraps or BuiltNY sacks. Often you can find those on sale at Target or something. Toss them in and they're safe. The jacket or fleece are just bonuses.
What is a Netbook? And why should you care? {Gadling}
Dec 16th 2008 3:23PM Scott, good write-up. Been looking to purchase this for the parentals since they don't need much power and just need a laptop for pictures, email, and very basic word processing.
Priced right, this is also a road warrior/blogger's dream for on-the-road happiness. When there's more power that's needed, getting home and doing it on the standard machine is just fine, I'm sure.

Dec 12th 2008 11:18AM From one of those PBS shows of the Amazon, I heard tarantulas taste a lot like crab meat. One day...
Alas, the most unusual stuff I've eaten are the likes of snake and cow unmentionables. Dare me to eat something and I just might--less a few things from Andrew Zimmern's show.

Dec 11th 2008 12:19PM I wouldn't say it has the best food, per se, but I've never had better service at the airport than at Mission Bar & Grill at SFO! Truly stellar service! Gate 62.
