Costa Rican rooms have volcano view at a bargain {Gadling}

Mar 9th 2009 6:04AM WOW! My wife and I stayed at the Lost Iguana last year and LOVED it. I would totally recommend it to anyone in the Arenal area. Here's a shot of our room for anyone who's curious.

7 things to leave at home on your next big trip {Gadling}

Feb 21st 2009 7:30PM As for padding in your covert-op bag of choice, consider something that's a bit more padded and more permanent. What if you do need to wear that fleece or jacket when the weather turns? Chances are you'll also hide away your camera at the same time--that equals no padding. As an option, get gear wraps or BuiltNY sacks. Often you can find those on sale at Target or something. Toss them in and they're safe. The jacket or fleece are just bonuses.

What is a Netbook? And why should you care? {Gadling}

Dec 16th 2008 3:23PM Scott, good write-up. Been looking to purchase this for the parentals since they don't need much power and just need a laptop for pictures, email, and very basic word processing.

Priced right, this is also a road warrior/blogger's dream for on-the-road happiness. When there's more power that's needed, getting home and doing it on the standard machine is just fine, I'm sure.

Cultural Delicacies: Tarantula {Gadling}

Dec 12th 2008 11:18AM From one of those PBS shows of the Amazon, I heard tarantulas taste a lot like crab meat. One day...

Alas, the most unusual stuff I've eaten are the likes of snake and cow unmentionables. Dare me to eat something and I just might--less a few things from Andrew Zimmern's show.

7 fantastic airport restaurants from around the world {Gadling}

Dec 11th 2008 12:19PM I wouldn't say it has the best food, per se, but I've never had better service at the airport than at Mission Bar & Grill at SFO! Truly stellar service! Gate 62.

That hotel room coffee maker has more uses than you think {Gadling}

Dec 5th 2008 2:44PM this rocks. I'll try this next time when I have to pull late nights prepping for meetings the next morning.

Dec 5th 2008 2:44PM "Melatonin is your friend...." as I often chant to my friends who don't travel much outside of the contiguous States....

I wholly agree with you--why come up with a new drug if something as simple as melatonin or the above is cheaper to use? Shouldn't pharms be putting more research in helping real diseases out of order at a lower cost?

Cockpit Chronicles: Back to the simulator {Gadling}
