Dec 7th 2011 10:00AM Irresponsible were the Bell/Cranick's action, but unethical would be the "tag" I'd put on the fire department / City. Were there any pets in peril at either location? If the dwellings were insured, the City should "taken to task" by the insurer/s. My fire protection "fair share" is part of my realestate tax bill. I pay "per-call" for the rescue squad, but it is an AFTER USE fee. What is wrong with these people?

There are settings you can configure to automatically place the computer into its "Sleep mode" after a certain set time of inactivity. It's has a built in energy saving system too few people take advantage of; yet it will allow your computor to do the routines it must do to stay "current"..

Apr 22nd 2011 8:26AM This advice is abolutly stupid.. I was once told you can't fix "stupid".. but I'll try.. If a PC is drawing power, you certainly don't want to UNPLUG it. A damaged operating system ( software ) may result. Unplug a VCR, cable box or a cordles phone base station? Better plan on wasting time resetting each device each time... TIME IS MONEY... Electric water heaters being shut off and on EXCEPT for a long duration ( several weeks ) won't gain you a CENT in savings. It is very well insulated and the water in the tank will remain above the threshold of the thermostat a very long time. Pastore needs to join AL Gore in LA LA LAND and leave us sane folk alone.

Silica jell OR rice or minute rice. Put item in a jar or plastic bag and completely cover with the drying agent over night. You might not want to eat the rice afterwards !! ( LOL )
