Dec 1st 2011 11:45PM Being married to a man who suffered a heart attack, I can tell you that they don't always follow the 'classic' symptoms. He was nauseated for several hours and felt like he was getting the Flu! When it became apparent that something serious was occuring, we went to the emergency room, They triaged him immediately. While the doctors were reparing the blockage, they discovered that another artery was totally blocked! It seems that his body had produced a way for the blood to continue to flow when he had the first attack. It was never diagnosed as a heart issue when he went to the hospital tha time!
I am wondering if it is remotely possible that Mr. Cortes suffered a heart attack instead of food poisoning. It would be interesting to know how many other passengers were food poisoned on that flight! That information seems to be missing from the article............................
Oct 15th 2011 7:27PM I think you need to take a class about mortgages, banks, money!
You have a good idea, Witchypoo, BUT, that's not how it works, AND I'll bet it never will!
Jul 24th 2011 1:00AM Sad to say all of you are right about the sleeve issue. My problem is that I have had numerous abdomenal surgeries and now those muscles are incapable of holding in my stomach! Exercise / diet don't work! I actually like some of the empire style dresses because they hang more freely and don't place emphasis my tummy!
I also fall into the older woman category (72) and don't like the clothes that manufacturers seem to think we should be wearing. Just wait until more of the boomers get older..... then I think we will start to see a clothing rebellion! At least I hope so.
Jul 23rd 2011 2:46AM Sorry Lucy.......it's a known fact - Octomom spent a lot of $$$$ to try to look like Angelina!
Jul 12th 2011 7:15PM Operative phrase Doridoo, is ' if we can not get him to calm down' - while you are trying to calm him down, the rest of the patrons are subject to witnessing his distress and your cajoling! Sorry, but I have been there, done that, and at my age don't enjoy the show!
Appears to me the old phrase, 'Children should be seen, not heard' would be a good foundation for educating children about the world of 'sit down' eating.
Jul 4th 2011 2:02AM I suspect, Mr. Kidd II, that the letters are published "as is". Whne reading the majority of letters, it would be hard to believe the contrary....misspelled words, incorrect phrasing, etc.
Jun 23rd 2011 1:59AM May Hilo Hattie live forever! Love to go there when we are in Hawaii! Maui no ka oi!
Jun 19th 2011 2:02PM By golly you're right, Joe.......we all have nipples of one sort or another! LOLOL!
Jun 19th 2011 1:58PM WOW Carlos, why don't you tell us how you really feel?!? I think you've said more than a mouthfull. Unfortunately what came out of your mouth was full of bitter vetch!
So sad that you have such a negative opinion of her & her family and that you express it in such a vicious fashion!
Jun 19th 2011 1:52PM WOW Gary....nothing like being a little bit judgemental. Wuold you make the same blanket statement if he was a police officer or a minister? Juct in case you aren't aware......they can be abusers, too! So lighten up and don't be so narrow minded.
p.s. I really don't care if you have some study that backs your remark! Surveys can be constructed to produce the results the people providing the survey want! AND that's fact!
