Nov 9th 2009 2:08AM Rancho Zabaco is made by Gallo. When the line was first introduced, they made an effort to actually make this wine something of true quality. As demand grew rapidly (naturally - finally a quality and affordable wine with excellent distribution due to Gallo's ownership), the quality began to suffer. The Rancho Zabaco offered today is priced at exactly what it is worth - around $8 a bottle. If you are the typical American consumer, you'll still be okay with it, but there are MANY better options out there now.

Why do you never say, "If you don't like America then move to Denmark or Switzerland?" The single biggest problem America faces right now is blind patriotism. Idiots like you are so busy covering your eyes and patting yourself on the backs, that you can't see how the rest of the world is leaving you in the dust. America was just ranked #26 out of 29 nations in education at the high school level (2009 PISA rankings - the most comprehensive and recognized study of its kind). Now your idiotic response to this news will be to blame liberals - which is 50% of America. You are never going to get anywhere until you see what the advantages are in OTHER countries - and how they achieved them. Learn from the mistakes of others. There are at least a dozen nations that have a better quality of life these days - I know because I left some time ago. Now say your next programmed line like a parrot, "Good riddance" - and stick your head back in the sand.

The job of parents is to groom their children to being adults - not to restrain their progress towards adulthood (which is both selfish and lazy parenting, when you pull away all the veneer). Children don't turn into adults magically on their 18th birthday. Today's world IS one where sexuality is expressed. Yeah, if you are 90 years old, you'll be uncomfortable with that. Who cares? You are about to die anyway. This is the world of the grandchildren you are criticizing.

I know Americans can be pretty out of touch with just how much better life is in many other parts of the world these days, but surely VERY few Americans are so naive as to seriously believe they are in the best country anymore. In terms of quality of life, the United States ranks about 14th in the world now. In terms of a child's education, the US in 2009 was ranked #26 out of 29 nations at the high school level by PISA (the leading survey of the world in academic standards). The United States has been going steadily downhill for the standard of living for the last 30 years, while many other nations have been steadily improving.
