Sep 13th 2008 12:10PM As a fellow Virginian, and a Wahoo, I second the vote for Cville. Albemarle county is stunning in any season, but especially in fall.
Jul 27th 2007 10:20AM I gather from your previous posts that you are from Ohio, so this trip really intrigues. I live in the DC area (Georgetown really is quite nice) and I will be making my way up to Cincinatti for a wedding in August. I plan to drive, but I have been dreading the I-270 to I-70 route. I also don't want to prolong my trip much more than I have to. So I just wanted to say that your sounds much more pleasant, and I will be considering it myself.
Jul 15th 2007 10:21PM I was there! This was kind of the low point for Cross' set, but a high point for the other two.
Jun 11th 2007 10:13AM I loved this. I think we are going to be doing some zip-lining in Alaska. I am also about 6'3", so thanks for the heads up on the platform thing.
Jun 7th 2007 3:51PM Thanks for this little tid-bit of information. I live just outside DC and knew that NG was close by, but didn't realize it had things for visitors to do. I'll try to check it out.
Jun 4th 2007 11:13AM I read that during prohibition, booze was snuck into the bordellos via the creek, up through trap doors. Maybe that explains the prime real estate.
Jun 1st 2007 9:21AM I have never been a fan of the cruise ship idea, but alaska has always been at the top of my list of places to go. So when I was offered a FREE trip on an alaskan cruise with some of my family this coming August, I jumped right on it. Although I hardly give any thought to the time on the boat. I have been reading everything I can about the places I will be visiting in Alaska, and I am very excited to see Gadling doing a daily feature. I look forward to reading about your trip.
May 4th 2007 11:23AM they did explain the talking elevator, it was a security guard...
