Dec 21st 2012 9:48AM The murder of these school children is a tragedy and should receive major coverage on the news - TV & print. But what I find disturbing is that Obama's Afgan War is killing, on average, nearly 26 U.S. Military each and every month in 2012 (307 is the total count I've seen)and I don't see the Talking Heads spending a week or more reporting that. Those 307 deaths are a National tragedy and nobody, except the families, seems to care. Sad commentary on the folks controlling our news.

Sep 10th 2012 11:39AM jeanne7 ripped me pretty good because I suggested in an earlier post that greedy homeowners had some responsibility for the housing bubble bursting (along with idiot bankers). Her response suggested it was all on the bankers & that the homeowners were not at fault. Well, unless the rules have changed, a bank can not force a homeowner to borrow additional money against their home. The homeowner must initiate the contact. A home is to live in - not as a piggy bank to finance vacations, buy cars, big screen TVs and other toys.

By 2006, he estimated, they owed nearly $300,000." This is an excellent explanation of why the housing market went into the toilet & is still there. You have greedy home owners borrowing $300,000 against a $137,000 house and you have idiot bankers that would loan them the money.

Feb 23rd 2011 8:34PM All you folks railing against Wal-Mart because of the Chinese "stuff" they sell....................Where do you think the Dollar stores gets their "stuff"?? Yes, that's right - China. Not only does their "stuff" come from China, their "stuff" is surplus junk from other stores that wasn't selling - quite possibly from Wal-Mart. Don't get me wrong - I sometimes shop in Dollar Stores but 1.) I won't buy anything that I expect to last longer than a month or so, and 2.) I never buy food there. Surplus food is not a good idea. I once found Chinese toothpaste in a Dollar Store about the time that people were getting very sick from some of the chemicals the Chinese were putting into toothpaste manufactured in China.
