The World's Best Summer Internship {AOL Jobs}
Apr 10th 2010 2:30PM Katie, I don't think women wear Old Spice... That's like hiring a man to test feminine hygeine products or pole dance at a "Gentleman's Club". There's no "discrimination" going on here. There are just certain things that require a particular gender. Lighten up!
Teacher Layoffs Sweep The Nation {AOL Jobs}
Apr 10th 2010 2:18PM Only an ignorant person would think that truck driving is an easy job. I nearly died several times out there in blizzard conditions, tornados and storms the likes of which you cannot imagine. They're paid better because no one in their right mind would leave home for a month or two at a time to assume those risks and hardship away from their family for 9 or 10 dollars an hour! I agree that teachers deserve better pay than they're getting, of course. But it's not necessary to make those of us in other fields sound like overpaid neandertals who don't deserve what we are making. Can't anyone make their point and still sound civilized???
The Ultimate American Heresy: 'I Am a Super Bowl Refusnik.' {Politics Daily}
Feb 7th 2010 5:44AM Wow, I can't believe someone else out there actually can relate to me, as far as not caring one way or the other about the Superbowl! I really don't care if I'm considered an oddball, but it's nice to know I'm not alone. It's just never grabbed me - any sport, really. I'd rather read a book, see a movie, or play my guitar than get all crazy over something that I don't even find the least bit interesting. I'm amused by how crazy everyone gets over it, actually. The closest I can compare it to is how a deaf person must feel while watching people dance and not hearing the music. I mean, they must look pretty ridiculous moving around like that and not even know it. That's how I see sports and the way people get so ridiculously into a game that they're not even a part of, themselves. Sure, I've watched it before. But to me it was just another occasion to ham it up and get plastered with the buddies. Heck, I probably spent more time texting and going outside for a smoke than I did watching the game! Ha!
South Florida Senior Says Joel Miller Gave Details of Jim Leavitt's Slap {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Jan 15th 2010 12:02PM It's stupid attitudes like yours and Leavitt's that cause incidents like this. Nobody cares if someone slapped you around 50 years ago and you were stupid enough to just let them keep on doing it. That doesn't mean you do the same crap to some kid when you're in the position to! Where's your self-respect that you never stood up for yourself and got your a$$ slapped around? People like that are the REAL PU$$IE$ for getting B!T%H-SLAPPED around and taking it out on another student when they get old!
Faith Hill Protects Her Man's Manhood {The Cooler}
Jul 30th 2007 8:15PM It amazes me how worked up people get reading about other people's problems. Who cares... Faith Hill will do what she feels inclined to do and the girl who grabbed her hubby will do what she feels inclined to do, whether any of us think any of it is right or wrong. What's the point in getting all crazy over it? What's more, what is the point in getting all crazy over someone else's comment about it? We all know there's people like that out there and those people don't care what the rest of us think of 'em. If anything, they probably thrive on pissing people off and it likely makes 'em more excited about doing it just to rub it in everyone's face. Why? Who knows... Who cares?
Das Urinator: German Pee Bag for Long Road Trips {Gadling}
Jul 28th 2007 12:55AM As I see it, the best way to do it is to just pee in Gatorade bottles and poop in plastic Wal-Mart bags. You can throw away that steaming hot bag of feces at the next rest-stop trash barrel, OR to get the best use out of it, you could just weigh it down with a good-sized rock and sling it backwards toward a tailgater who won't get off your a$$. If you're lucky enough, the rock will shatter his windshield and the splattering poop will be the last thing he sees (and smells) as he careens off into a ditch somewhere. You could also save the pee and when you encounter someone who has recently pissed you off, you could pour it across the cowl below his windshield, where it will drip down into the fresh air intake. That would be a VERY expensive cleanup job (take apart dash, disassemble and clean or replace all ducts, etc...) and a well deserved one for all the jerks in your life. Trust me, at this piping hot time of year, that smell alone is punishment enough!
GARCELLE BEAUVAIS: Nude in Playboy, Expecting Twin Boys {BV Newswire}
Jul 9th 2007 8:11PM That's not what MILF stands for, lol
A Canadian in Beijing: Exposed Bellies For The Fellies {Gadling}
Jul 5th 2007 3:31AM I do see your point in it being unusual, since you don't usually see that here. But I have trouble understanding why someone would be squeamish about their belly-button. I had a girl tell me once that viewing it was like viewing her...umm...you know. For the life of me, I don't understand that. A person's belly can hardly be compared to genitalia. If it were so vulgar to see someone's belly-button, there'd be no two-piece bikinis out there and no men would go around a beach without a shirt either. Even underwear don't cover any less private area than a swimming bikini. Some beachgoers wear the skimpiest of these without a thought in front of the same people, yet oddly enough would not be caught dead in underwear that cover even more, sometimes. We americans have so many hangups that it's no wonder the europeans think we're strange. By the way, the girl I know with the "private" belly-button has been seen with a bikini several times (she coulda worn a single-piece) and seems to think nothing of it then. It's the same belly-button, for godsakes!
Victoria Beckham inadvertently endorses vegan book, and sparks fly {That's Fit}
Jul 3rd 2007 6:58PM Vegans? The Spice Girls? No meat and no cussing? You've gotta be kidding damnit! Get real...
Mo Wants To Know ... Was Mary Magdalene A Prostitute? {News Bloggers}
Jul 3rd 2007 10:45AM The fact is, no one really knows much about anyone who lived back then. You find disagreement everywhere and many different versions of the same story. I guess the idea is that she was some sort of an undesirable person (though that could've meant just about anything back then) and she had obviously done something the people felt was deserving of a death by stoning. Could've been adultery, could've been prostitution, etc... Interesting that a spouse of hers is never mentioned though, if in fact it was adultery. Someone mentioned earlier that she was Jesus' wife later on. We don't know that to be a fact yet either, though some growing evidence seems to suggest that. This would make one wonder what became of her first husband that she was able to marry Jesus, given the laws of the time and the fact that I don't believe someone like Jesus Christ would steal the wife of another man, unless maybe he was dead. Also, I doubt she would've been accepted among his disciples if they felt she was continuing to live a "life of sin". Therefore, I tend to lean towards prostitution. Truth is, only someone who lived among them would ever know the truth. Way too long ago...
