Mar 23rd 2009 4:27AM Yes. The matter should have been questioned. Did the bonuses come into question before or after the bailout money was turned over? This behavior by AIG is a results of the political philosophy of deregulation and hands off policy so the big boys can do as they please. I dont't have a problem with this so far as private capital is concerned. The judiciary can settle matters in the private sector. I become irate as a taxpayer when a handfull of individuals have the gall to show such diistain for our tax dollars at a time like this. This has been years in the making. One administration cannot be held totally responsible.

Feb 9th 2009 10:21PM Some remain blind and def to what has transpired. The fat cats on Wall Street got a windfall before Bush left office. What are they doing with it? They are giving themselves big bonuses and sitting on the rest. This trickle down nonesense does not put people to work in the immediate future and will only benefit the few in the short term. Lets put the as many of the unemployed back to work as soon as possible so they can start paying back into the system. Lets focus on the small local businesses and manufacturers first and encourage them to participate in the global economy. As a tax payer this is my position. Let the top corporate guys get rewarded with private capital, not government bailout money that the average working Joe need to help him or her get back on track. Taxpayer money and private capital should be used and viewed differently. I dont see how any Republican who has lost their Job can stomach what their party is doing to them in their current time of need. They dont give a damn about the little guy and they are getting worse buy the minute.

In my opinion it does contain certain truths with respect to historical patterns of conditions and attitudes among not only African Americans, but what is happening in Africa today ie.,Africans inflicting pain and suffering on other Africans.

Jan 26th 2008 6:06AM I try not to patronize motels within 10 miles of any town or city limits. Also motels located near shopping malls on interstates seem to be o.k. if that is the only thing in the vacinity.
