If some of these "white collar criminals" were given like sentences as the guy who knocked over the local 7-11 two things would happen: There would be less of this type of crime. And 1/2 of the banking mortgage industry would be "making license plates". This is NOT the"victimless crime" I have heard it refered to.

My problem with it is that just like every other instance when a "large chunk of change" get into the hands of "powers that be", that $1.00 that went in is lucky to come out as 0.49 on the other end. The tax alone will create a bureau just for collection & disbursement.

People flying on these airlines are getting ripped off by all these new & excesive fees, and we should be happy that airlines ripped off enough of us to "spread the wealth"? And Banks are "back to normal" on this too: screwing the depositors & giving themselves big bonuses. GM is also pulling this.

Jan 26th 2011 4:06AM Sorry Brian. If you've ever been in a checkout line, you'll know that getting cash change is a lot faster than swipping a card. I can't count how many times multiple swipes, multiple pin entries have slowed a normaly fast "cash only" line. Besides, they went "card only" because they get a kick-back from the banks that issued the cards.
