McDonald's Execs Discuss Angus Snack Wraps and Smoothies {Slashfood}
Jun 6th 2010 9:43PM All of these new items would be great if you could get them. Since rolling out the Frappes, all I have heard each time I have tried to order them is "The machine is being cleaned" so I do not know how they taste. The rest, well, they are McDonald's, do what you do best.
Doctors Advise NFL Prospect to Retire {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Feb 23rd 2009 9:43PM Have you heard of the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals in Cleveland? Maybe he should have flown to the cold, grey, depressing skies of Cleveland for that thorough physical. Some of the best in country with nothing else to do this time of year.
TLC launches reality show about sex toy business {WalletPop}
Jan 22nd 2009 11:22PM I used to be a "Consultant". We are well educated by the company, men are not allowed at the parties, and everything is geared toward couple sexual enhancement. No vulgar words are used and it is made to be fun. But I really do not think she deserves a show for this at all.
20 unusual ways to save money: Ditch the expensive cleaning supplies {WalletPop}
Dec 18th 2008 10:40AM My family always used old t shirts and vinegar for windows and floors. Comet has always been my choice for sinks, toilets, and tubs. It is also great for stainless steel as well. Ask anyone that has worked for McDonald's how they make the stainless shine, it isn't stainless steel cleaner.
Peanut Butter Taste Test {AOL Food Blog}
Feb 9th 2008 11:16AM Jif creamy is my personal favorite right now. Peter Pan is yummy and I haven't had Skippy in years. Not a big fan of the Smucker's Peanut Butter despite being an Ohioan that grew up on their jellies.
Why don't pregnant women topple over? {That's Fit}
Dec 16th 2007 12:32PM I had sciatica before I got pregnant. While I did not like being pregnant, I wasn't uncomfortable until about a week before I gave birth. At that point, I had gained a total of 27 pounds. But, at 25 weeks I did topple over going down a hill in Puerto Rico. I tripped and could not catch myself because of the extra weight in the center. Gotta love inertia.
Drugstore Beauty Queen: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser {Stylelist}
Dec 1st 2007 4:31PM I was using the Aveeno daily exfoliating scrub but decided to buy this instead about a month ago. I love it. It is squeaky clean but not to squeaky. My skin looks better too.
Don't BlindlyTrust Your GPS Device {Gadling}
Jul 4th 2007 10:16AM I don't think GPS is all bad. A friend of mine used google maps to get to a new restaurant opening we worked that I used my GPS to find. The map took him in a big circle back to the highway exit, 20 miles from where he was supposed to be. It seems common sense was lacking in these instances. Both drivers jumped off a bridge when they were told. Not real smart.
Grandma Crashes into DMV {AOL Video Blog}
Mar 4th 2007 12:04PM I agree, if you plow into the DMV you should not still have your driving privileges at any age.
My grandfather is an active 73 year old living in Florida. He has a large, old car and prefers to walk or ride his bike around his neighborhood to avoid losing his gross motor skills. He works very hard to stay sharp. But, while walking across a main rd, at a crosswalk, on Walk he was nearly run down buy an elderly woman who didn't see the red light because I think she was too short to see over the steering wheel. The best part, she started honking, screaming, and swearing at him as if it was his fault.
Now he will drive or take the bus. He won't walk to McDonald's anymore because he would have to cross this intersection on foot/bike.
However, I would like to point out that the younger drivers in his part of Florida are impatient and have caused a fair share of accidents all on their own because they think they own the road.
Written retesting should be done for every driver at least every 10 years. Be honest, how many of the driving laws and signs do you remember? If can't remember the laws, then you should not be allowed to drive.
I live in a state that requires a 6 month wait for anyone under 18 to get a drivers license. The must log 100's of hours of driving time with their parents. It would be a rare to find someone who did not get practice driving in snow and rain in that 6 month period. Long hours of Drivers Ed are also required.
