Jul 24th 2011 1:02PM The problem is that you have a few idiots flying with you, so you treat all passengers like they are the enemy. All this does is create more hostile passengers. Every job has problems as well as joys, and if you can't balance them you need to look for work elsewhere.

Glad you retired! Passengers paid your wages and indirectly gave you everything you earned and bought (your home, your car, your vacations, your retirement). The only reason you had a job was to meet the passenger's needs. In my business, I've fired staff with attitudes like yours. Perhaps you could get a job with the IRS.

Jul 23rd 2011 3:14PM Once upon a time, airlines treated passengers like guests. Now, they treat us like cattle at a stockyard. When speaking informally to attendants, they seem to uniformly HATE the passengers, just as the TSA workers do.

Jun 21st 2011 3:24PM The judge is an idiot! Parents need to discipline effectively, and sometimes a swat or spank is what works with a particular child to correct behavioral problems. I completely agree you don't beat a child, nor do you punish them because they made you mad (especially when you laughed at their behavior yesterday), but a swat sometimes is the proper response, especially after they've been warned. Perhaps the judge thinks it is permissible to abuse them psychologically, as long as you do it without touching them?

Aluminum foil, chewed by someone with fillings or crowns, will also give a slight shock (completely harmless, regardless of heart problems). The gum is no different but unfortunately the principal, charged with trying to teach students to think, is apparently incapable of doing the same. "ZT" does not stand for Zero Tolerance, it really means "Zero Thinking"
