Feb 10th 2013 9:39AM Fannie Mae seems to be one of the culprits. They set the rules. Chase just collects the money and forwards it to the true mortgage holder, which is a quasi Federal entity, that was a large cause of this problem in the first place.
Is the lady 21 months behind on her payments? That is not made clear in the article. If so, she is the greatest culprit.
