Nov 25th 2012 2:40AM I think it looks awesome!
Aug 25th 2012 8:31PM The Ritz Carleton in Hong Kong goes from floors 102 to 118 with mind blowing views of the world's most photogenic city. Dubai has 5 hotels with rooms at 1000 feet. Bangkok has a hotel 85 floor high. Macau has a shiny high rise hotel that isn't even shaped like a building!! The Burj Khalifa has apartments on the 108th floor. This just doesn't sound all that impressive.
Mar 23rd 2011 8:47PM So... as a nation we are very angry at a guy for breaking a window, but not so upset that our last president lied to start an illegal war that killed 1 million people? Good to see we have a sense of perspective!
Jul 4th 2010 7:57PM What I find amazing isn't that George W. Bush outright lied about mobile bioweapons labs, uranium from Niger, aluminum tubes, etc. to start an illegal and poorly run war that killed 1 million innocent people.
What I find amazing is that while dirty orphans wander the streets of Baghdad with no-one to love them, Bush feels not so much as a molecule of shame, guilt, or compassion, and manages to sleep well each night.
Jul 4th 2010 3:22PM So... if Minnesota doesn't allow Chinese flags to be sold there, do they still expect the Chinese to buy things made in Minnesota?
On my last trip to Asia there was an American Standard toilet in my apartment, I flew on brand new Boeing airplanes (Asia spends billions on Boeing planes), I went to Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks for coffee, purchased some tools at Ace Hardware and saw a lot of people drinking Coke, driving GM cars and eating at McDonalds.
GM is selling more cars in China than here.
We can't really say that buying Chinese things is un-American and at the same time expect them to keep buying our stuff.
Dec 27th 2009 10:52AM That just isn't true.
Dec 27th 2009 10:50AM Muslim organizations in America denounce terror constantly. The claim that they don't is quite erroneous. You say Muslims don't care about America. What about my Muslim friend who served in the military for years? The day before yesterday he and his Muslim wife made our family Christmas dinner and brought it to our house. Do you want to tell him that he doesn't love his country, his wife, his new baby or his friends?
Since 99.99% of Muslims are not terrorist, it is wrong to treat good, patriotic, hard working people like they are terrorists simply because they are Muslim.
Oct 18th 2009 5:31PM "While the anti-BO states are doing fine." Anti-BO states like SC with 11.5% unemployment, Kentucky with 11.1%, and Tennessee with 10.8%? Or do you mean states like Nevada with 13.2% of the population unemployed and the highest number of foreclosures?
Oct 18th 2009 5:13PM George W. Bush lied and fabricated evidence to start an illegal war against a people who had no WMD, weren't part of 9/11 and hated Al Qaeda. A million innocent people died in the Iraqi holocaust.
Bush is no better than Hitler. He's just a baby killing scumbag.
Oct 18th 2009 4:57PM scjawsc, where exactly is all this socialism? The US is just about the only nation that doesn't require paid maternity leave. In most of Europe / Asia you get at least 3 months. Europeans I know are shocked beyond words when they see a large jar filled with coins in a convience store with a photo of a 6 year old girl that says "Please help, my daughter has leukemia." They say "The government can't just let her die!!" And I say "Oh, yes, they can and they will!" A friend of mine was just fired for telling his boss he wanted to take 3 days off to be with his wife in the hospital. Furthermore, Obama didn't spend the money on social programs, he spent it preventing us from going into a depression! The same exact way that Bush was just before he left office!
