Who uses coupons most and least, and why {WalletPop}
Mar 27th 2010 7:49AM I have had the experience described when using coupons -- especially at one store chain I frequent. The clerks seem to be trained to give people a hard time and to even challenge their use of coupons. Once I had a coupon for Jarlsberg cheese with a picture on it. The packer -- not the store clerk -- the PACKER tried to tell me it was the wrong cheese even though the picture on the coupon wa identical to the cheese I was purchasing. After the clerk stalled my order and walked over to the office, she gave me the $1 off to which I was entitled. I was left to apologize to the people behind me for the unncessary delay.
I'm planning on being even more assertive the next time something like that happens. A see a chat with the store manager in my future.
Should overweight passengers pay extra for airline tickets? {Gadling}
Dec 10th 2009 9:11PM How about we charge by the pound for people and luggage. Maybe the first 200 or 250 (pick a number) are free. After that there's an additional charge. As a little person who gets charged extra for additional luggage I feel I'm paying for my seating space and my luggage. The overweight person seems to feel it's their right to some of my space even though they didn't pay for it. I'll gladly match my luggage to their girth and pay as I go. Just let me have the seat and armrest I paid for.
Sarah Palin Can Buy 35,175 iPhones {Politics Daily}
Nov 18th 2008 7:33AM Also, I am sure she will use some of the money to help fight terrorists with when she is out hunting moose and sees the godless crossing into Alaska from Russia that is so close to us and too she will have to pay the editor who works on her grammar like we hard-working real Americans did when we built the pipeline and make some sense of what she also is telling us about what she learned about energy when she and John McCain traveled this great nation and thought about all the things she could change that would benefit this great land by getting out of the box we got ourselves into.
If what you just read makes sense to you, buy the book, and offer to work for her next campaign.
Tired of traveling overweight? Try Tonga! {Gadling}
Feb 7th 2008 12:04PM I am also one of those little people. Hey grandma was only 4-9. What can you expect? Sorry.
Whether the arm rest is up or down, sitting next to a large person who is spilling in to my space is darned uncomfortable. What makes anyone think I'll be more comfortable without an arm rest? I still get to curl my arms in front of me and be squished for a couple of hours so the other person can be comfortable? If you are so large that you can't fit in the space, you have choices -- lose weight, buy two seats or fly first class. And if you think buying two seats sounds outrageous, just think about it -- you are already borrowing half of my seat without paying for it.
Japanese Cat Band {AOL Video Blog}
Feb 25th 2007 9:59AM This was neither fun nor funny. These cats were confined and positioned in unnatural ways which could only have been uncomfortable if not downright painful for the animals. I am not a member of PETA, but I am a pet owner and I was disgusted by this video.
