Reconsidering Tofu {Kitchen Daily}

Jun 27th 2010 6:50PM I grew up eating tofu, it was just another ingredient. Everything in moderation.

Tattoo Regret --The Girl With the Ugly Lizard Tattoo {Asylum}

Jun 27th 2010 6:42PM I was talking to a young lady the other night who got a couple tattoos while wildly drunk. One is a large tat on her wrist with a guy's name in script who she never heard of. Another is a large one across her chest of her last name. She doesn't remember anything about them. It's a great joke for her friends (who were with her when she got them).

I Spent $3,000 to Save My Dog - and I'd Do It Again {Pawnation}

Jun 22nd 2010 10:35PM And you must be a very sad and unhappy person

I Spent $3,000 to Save My Dog - and I'd Do It Again {Pawnation}

Jun 22nd 2010 10:29PM You can't put a price tag on love. We had a German Shepard/Husky mix who tore a ligament in his knee. He had been limping in his front leg prior to the tear, so we had the vet look at that, too. He had a bone chip growing in the joint. The vet gave us a 2-1 deal and took care of both at the same time. In pre-op, they accidentally shaved the wrong side so when he came put of surgery, it looked like he had a mohawk. Several years later, he developed hermangio sarcoma. We didn't even think about it; emergency speenectomy and a visit to a veterinary oncologist. We treated him aggressively with chemo and antibiotics and had an active life for another three years. After $15,000, I stopped keeping track of how much it was costing, it didn't matter. He was happy and alive.

Don't Be a Victim of Interview Bias {AOL Jobs}

Jun 16th 2010 9:55AM You hit it right on. I had an interview yesterday with such a person who would end up being my supervisor. Luckily, their boss was there, too, so the big boss could steer the interview back on course when the interviewer couldn't understand some concepts in the industry. This is the first time I've ever thought "I hope I don't get selected for this job."

U-Haul accused of attempting price-fixing with Budget {WalletPop}

Jun 10th 2010 5:33PM I won't touch U-Haul. Old, beat up trucks and high rates.

Women Share: "The Worst Gift I've Ever Received" {Personal Articles}

Jun 2nd 2010 8:16PM Women aren't the only recipients of bad gifts. One Christmas, my wife gave me a set of gardening tools - made for children - and we don't have kids. Many years, I told her not to bother with gifts. This last Christmas, I finally got something decent - a cast iron skillet (I'm the cook here). But I'm always looking over my shoulder to see if she's going to use it on me during one of her menopausal rages :eek:

Happy 90th Birthday Wonder Bread {Slashfood}

Jun 1st 2010 4:31PM Growing up, we couldn't afford Wonder Bread, so we ate the cheap stuff or what was on sale. It may have been a good thing, as it got me eating whole grain, crusty Italian, and other breads when they were on sale. Friends that ate Wonder would not eat anything else. To this day, I love the different varieties of breads. You won't catch me dead with a loaf of plain white bread.

The greatest truck in America? {Autoblog}

Jun 1st 2010 4:19PM Same here, I go with my truck. That said, truck is a 1999 F-150 with 230,000 miles. I had to replace the thermostat two years ago, and the starter last year, but everything else (well, except tires and brakes) are original. Beat that, Dodge!

Reports: Charlie Sheen Will Serve Jail Time {PopEater}

Jun 1st 2010 4:06PM Charlie, walk away from her. You can be single and successful. Some people just should not be married, and you may be one of those.
