Review: Saturday Night Live - Taylor Swift {TV Squad}
Nov 8th 2009 2:54PM She was off-key more than a few times during her first song. Singers should be more concerned with hitting their difficult notes than flinging their hair in the wind. Painful.
During the sketches, she pretty much read off the cue cards openly. I'm surprised that she wasn't mouthing her lines before her cue.
But she's not an actress, so why bash her? Because her representation should've told her not to do this. Have her sing, because that's what's she strongest doing.
Except for that flat first song. Horrible.
But Bill Hader was fantastic in the 10 seconds that he was on.
Review: Dollhouse - Belonging {TV Squad}
Oct 24th 2009 3:02PM @Creep - Agreed. This was the best episode of the series. If the rest of the episodes are anything close to this one, I hope that SOME network picks this series up. I'd gladly follow this show anywhere.
One moment that threw me was when I heard Keith Carradine speaking, and I thought "Is that Agent Landy? Am I watching Dexter?"
Great episode.
Review: Californication - Zoso {TV Squad}
Oct 21st 2009 12:37PM Wrong.
This isn't free TV. If I have to pay for it (just like you), then I'll comment on it. It's my right to watch it and comment on it, just like you.
The funny thing is I also commented on that horrible HBO show, Bored to Death, and the fan or two of that show claimed that I needed a classier sense of humor to "understand" that show.
Here, I criticize Californication, and everyone here says I need a "certain sense of humor." If this show is the opposite of Bored to Death (also bad, btw), I guess I'm stuck somewhere in the middle of comedy shows.
But yeah, this show is lame. Or is it "simple?"
Review: Dexter - Dexter Takes a Holiday {TV Squad}
Oct 20th 2009 12:19PM Bruce's review, that is.
Sorry Danny, but your review borders on Dennis Miller's MNF rants.

Oct 20th 2009 12:16PM Somehow... I liked this review better.
Review: Californication - Zoso {TV Squad}
Oct 20th 2009 3:47AM I don't understand why this show is on the air.
It's all about a lazy guy getting laid in many unrealistic ways.
I don't envy him at all. I just laugh at the writers who think all men want to be a lazy whiner like Duchovney.
Still, that stripper/student was hot.
Does Justin Chambers have the best girly scream ever? {TV Squad}
Oct 15th 2009 12:15PM Uh... no. You can't have an Izzy-bash-free thread.
Nope.
Hell's Kitchen: Season Finale - open thread {TV Squad}
Oct 14th 2009 4:15PM It was pretty obvious that Kevin chose his team poorly and that Amanda cost him the win.
Dave smartly chose Suzanne who was a good chef but a pain in the butt to deal with. It turned out that Dave's team outperformed Kevin's and Ramsey agreed.
It seemed that Kevin was the favorite all season. Too bad he chose Amanda, who choked on two stations.
And can I ask the producers to stop being so "Jerry Springer" with this show? It really is insulting to the audience who enjoys the cooking aspect of this show, not the gaudy side.
Californication: Verities & Balderdash {TV Squad}
Oct 12th 2009 2:55PM As shallow as this sounds, could the producers have found someone a little more attractive than Diane Farr? Her onscreen time makes me cringe, especially when Duchovney tells her how "hot" she is.
I guess he can act. She is painful to look at.
Sorry.
Dexter: Blinded By the Light {TV Squad}
Oct 12th 2009 2:50PM Have to agree that the family subplot seems to dilute what made Dexter so good for the last three seasons. Also, Rita seems to be more and more irritating and frankly, bitchy. Perhaps the writers are creating this tension at home for Dexter for a reason?
Yet, this show is still one of the best on TV. It's so easy to find small faults in an otherwise well-written show. Still my favorite.
Oh, not to nitpick but I'm embarrassed to admit that they were singing Karma Chameleon by the Culture Club. Or should I say massacring it?
