Preview: 526-horsepower Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell {Autoblog}

Jun 21st 2010 7:57PM Must say, I like it! The interior is what impresses me just as much as those engine specs though. Can't wait until all high-end car interiors move to gigantic screens for the center console and the odometer.

First Drive: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee redefines the Tipping Point {Autoblog}

Jun 20th 2010 9:06PM That trail the PR team picked is pathetic compared to what a Jeep can truly handle. It frustrates me that Jeep takes promo pictures of their vehicles going through a 1 inch puddle and that's supposed to be "rugged." I just took my 2008 Liberty off-road (for real) and we went to hell and back. It was beyond impressive. No vehicle should be able to take the pounding that my Jeep did. I sustained cosmetic damage, but mechanically, not a single problem; flawless. If Jeep showed half of the difficulty of off-roading I did in my Liberty, it would at least be doing the Jeep brand justice.

That trail you guys ran in could be done in a BMW. Jeep's PR department needs to either grow some or talk to their engineering department to truly understand what the vehicles are capable of because they are showing them in a very "lame" light.

Volvo S60 crashes during safety demonstration with cameras rolling {Autoblog}

May 8th 2010 11:00PM @Bob-omb Exactly what I was thinking. Notice the guy inside (probably a dummy) smacks his head swiftly into the steering column. Guaranteed that would be at least a broken nose. Why didn't the seat belt tighten and hold him back? This was like a triple failure: no brakes, no airbag, no seat belt tightening.

Yes, I would pay $899 for a 32GB iPhone.

How to Sleep Better on a Plane {Gadling}

May 2nd 2007 6:51PM Glad you found the story so helpful. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the story I did for the Los Angeles Times on traveling with your iPod called "The world just about fits in this little music box" on December 24th. There's some great info there, too.

Do you watch video on your iPod? {TUAW.com}

Nov 23rd 2006 12:57AM I've got two uses for my iPod.

1) Connected to the AUX port in my car.
2) When traveling.

For #1, obviously I only listen to music. But for use #2, video is all I do with my iPod. I love the video ability of my iPod! And to solve the 90 minute battery life problem I just bring a battery charger that is powered by AA batteries. Then I bring a 12-pack of AA batteries and I'm set. I've got 5 full length movies on my iPod so far and probably upwards of 75 TV Shows. It's great because it allows me to catch up on missed episodes of Lost or Heros when I'm traveling, which is pretty frequently---considering I don't have much else to do sitting in a blue-cushioned seat at 35,000 feet.

Casino Royale trailer shows off Bond's Aston {Autoblog}

Sep 11th 2006 10:57AM #1 Sucks horribly that Brosnan is not playing Bond in this one. I thought he was really good in the other Bond movies he did. But maybe I'll change my mind when I see this one.

#2 Unless DBRS9 is some kind of piece of shit, it would not roll like that in any century, he would just spin out by turning the wheel that hard. Unless he hit some uneven surface (which from the careful looks of it, he did not) there is not a chance in hell the car would flip up onto its side and roll like that. And it bothers me that Hollywood would depict something like that on film because it spreads false information to the public out there.

I know for one, I beat the shit of BMWs at the BMW Performance Center last month in Greenville South Carolina and during the emergency lane change where at 60MPH you throw the wheel to the left as hard and as fast as you possibly can, all I did was spin out with the DTC off and stayed in control with the DTC on.

The Retail Apple Store's voice recording lies {TUAW.com}

Jan 17th 2006 10:41AM I know how you feel. I too was expecting to pick up one of the new Intel-based 20" iMac's today and just called my local Apple store no more than 30 minutes ago and was told they didn't have them in but to check back around 2PM as they are suppose to be getting a shipment then.

Hopefully they'll arrive then, and if they do I'll same-day air you one. :P

Sep 25th 2005 12:38PM During the time Katrina hit over eastern Miami, my sister was without cable and had been wanting to watch the VMAs for several months before that. So, because she still had internet, I positioned my camera up at the TV while tuned to MTV and she was able to watch the VMAs. Worked out well.
