Which is exactly my point, geo. There is no certainty, there is only "what the scientists say"... Maybe it is baloney. Maybe it is an imminent problem. Considering the vast quantities of data and interpretation- Who knows!? Which is why it's foolish to dismiss it as a load of hooey.
I don't care what Al Gore says, specifically... But why not consider human impact on the environment simply because it's morally responsible to respect the Earth?
On topic; sure the hybrid thing is a fad. But getting the ball rolling on alternative technology is NOT a bad thing.

Jun 17th 2009 12:01PM I really wish they wouldn't do this. It's so ricey and stereotypical. I would like to see the Japanese move past these kinds of gimmicks, or at least make them less flamboyant. I know... these are the Japanese I'm talking about, and that's laughable.
It's just that, the Z doesn't need this kind of treatment, it's a perfectly admirable performance car just as it is. You wouldn't see BMW doing something this ostentatious, would you?

Jun 17th 2009 11:47AM If the car were black or grey instead of bright red, it would be incognito. This car is basically a Civic coupe.
Now, I might be less scornful of that, if not for the fact that every car they build is entirely derivative of some other car. There is nothing original in their entire lineup. I don't respect that kind of design philosophy (or lack thereof).
