Jul 23rd 2009 10:23PM Joyce do you have any recommendations for finding volunteer opportunities in South-East Asia, specifically Cambodia and Laos? I've been looking for something I can do for a week or so as it want to work it into a larger trip. My preference is working with kids but anything worthwhile would work. I can't find anything that I don't have to pay an absurd amount of money for. I don't think I should have to pay for the opportunity to volunteer. Of course I don't expect room and board either.
Jul 21st 2009 4:46PM I would have to agree. No way it can live up to the hype.

Couch surfing is at its best when you are in a city that you don't really care for or a dangerous place, you get to see the city in a whole new light. It's great to hear that Haiti is at least safe enough for experienced travelers. I'm curious to whether how much truth there is to the rampant sale of child slaves, any insight? Here is the article I'm referring to:
Mar 23rd 2009 5:50PM Thailand, I'm sure it would come in handy on my trip next year!
Dec 29th 2008 9:15PM I agree with all but one entry on that list. I recline no matter where I am. I can't stand sitting in a straight backed chair for a long time.
Dec 28th 2008 2:08PM any word if the EB sale applies to Canada as well?
