Liquids Surrendered At Airport Security: Is There An Afterlife? {Gadling}
Jul 12th 2012 12:36PM Tina, first of all IF the TSA had stopped ANY credible threats they would have been lauded on TV and Internet to prove their worth.
Second of all so far the most credible way to stop terrorists was taken away back in 1973.
Back then all pilots were allowed to carry pistols, had numerous back ground checks and so were many of the stewardesses or flight attendants. Now any person can get those jobs it seems. Used to be before 1973 there were very few hijackings and if it did happen generally the airlines also had security on each flight, armed. But then in this day an age honor and honesty can be bought with few thousand dollars it seems. Also we need to go to the way Israel does it, you walk through with carry ons and if there is anything that can go boom, it does,, and you with it. Oh and they have one of most extensive terrorist identification systems around. Taking my shampoo , as i am from Indiana and American while flying to where ever, makes little sense or frisking a toddler or geriatric person when presented with credible proof of not being a risk. Right now you can get groped for free at airport boarding. Add disco ball and cheap watered down drinks and call it a disco!
Top Brands in Kitchen Cookware for Less {Shopping Articles Blog}
Jan 28th 2012 5:29PM Well now as a man who cooks, I have one small frying pan,, the cheapest that Calphalon has in the infused/anodized and I LOVE it, for toughness when you scrub a pan with burnt on stuff with bar keepers friend and scotchbrite and never scratch it,,, I am sold.
Hard anodized and it really works well but its a different wat to cook over Teflon.
But I wish I had some of my grandparents cast iron stuff and still look for well prepped items,, mostly I see ones never seasoned right or abused.
Now Calphalon does have a cheaper Teflon line but the infused anodized is my choice.

Behind The Ethanol Controversy {Translogic}
Oct 20th 2010 10:42PM You sir are an idiot. After working as a Master Technician AND a Master Machinist I have yet to see any difference in build up in intake tracts between E85 engine and regular gasoline engines.
I just had 4 different engines apart back to back for gasket replacements 2 were E85 and ran exclusively on E85 and 2 on E10 and honestly the E85 engine was clean enough to eat off of compared to the E10 engine and both E85 engines are very neglected "fleet" engines.
So you BS doesnt hold water. Also after building and tuning race engines on Ethanol and gasoline I'll take Ethanol engines any day.
Behind The Ethanol Controversy {Translogic}
Oct 20th 2010 10:36PM No it does not take more fuel to produce ethanol that is a fallacy an you need to do more research before promoting such stupidity. Ethanol in proper concentration, ie 160 to 180 proof , for a motor fuel has about 75,000 to 77,000 btu in a gallon and requires only 30,000to 35,000 btu to produce AND in an even more efficient distillery can produce more fuel with less heat loss and make it even less cost intensive.
Behind The Ethanol Controversy {Translogic}
Oct 20th 2010 10:30PM OK so lets get things straight I work on cars, and E10 and E15 will not hurt most cars and if your car is old enough to have parts hurt by ethanol then it might be ready to change rubber hoses and such.
Most current engine designs from the last 40 to 50 years can handle E10 or E15 with little or no issues, maybe a slight idle adjustment.
Maybe not. FI engines will not effected in running and as for converters ethanol will not hurt them.
Now doesn anyone know why they switched from MTBE to ethanol? Well for your information MTBE in residual amounts has been found in ground water and it has been found to be toxic to kids.
So the reason for MTBE or ethanol is an oxygenate, or oxygen bearing compound to help with emissions and smog production.
Now as for the accurate numbers less than 40 percent of the corn production in the US is used for Ethanol production, it DOES NOT use corn from human food production, and it does not remove corn that can be used for cattle feed.
Now lets get the facts straight, what come out of a distillery after making ethanol is 26% protein distillers wet/dried grains which is hogh protein cattle feed.
Now another thing that is used for ethanol production for fuel is residuals from sugar production from corn, sorghum, sugar beets and old fruit. ALSO what will be used is residual brewery left overs from beer/alcohol production.
Actually in a properly ran distillery can use approximately 98% of the input corn/water.
Also ethanol use can help clean deposits from a carboned up engine and make it more efficient as ethanol when burned produces steam and cleans the engine, also the steam does reduce valve face wear.
As for reduced mileage that's a fallacy that it impact mileage to a great degree. Most well tuned cars can use E10 or E15 with little (generally .5mpg or less) or no mileage decrease.
As for damaging the engine, ever hear of a product called a water injection unit, most people add them to up octane in higher compression engines or in areas with controlled gasoline types like California and its lower octane ratings.
E85 wont operate in non calibrated cars but most cars can run ok on up to E30 or E40 with little or no ill effects.
As for using corn so what it makes more work for the American farmers, of which my family are. So hey lets burn it.
Also a lot of people have no concept of this but up until World War 2 Europe ran almost exclusively on Ethanol from local distilleries and only built new gasoline infrastructure to help supply the US entrance into the European theater, and when we left, the refineries stayed.
In fact I am building two cars for fun and performance and may try to run E85 in one or both as my local town has a pump.
Do the research on the E85 websites.
Also if we ever get cut off from foreign oil many of the current cars are already set up to run it. As for the tax on E85 it does not have same taxes that E10/E15 gasoline has. It does how ever have alcohol taxes on it to some degree.
And taxes on motor fuels do pay for roads and repairs.
Irked 'Dancing' Cast Close to Turning on Jennifer Grey {PopEater}
Oct 20th 2010 3:19AM Have most people forgot that Patrick Swayze WAS a professional dancer before Dirty Dancing, and Jennifer was training for MONTHS before and during Dirty Dancing. The lady who taught her/them on the movies was a very talented choreographer and even said Jennifer had natural rhythm and grace and came from a talented family.
Now she has, if I remember correctly, kept after dancing for fun and exercise. At least according to last interview I saw of her talking about Dirty Dancing anniversary.
So she has about 20+ years of experience over a girl who may only have been in diapers if not even born yet when Dirty Dancing came out.
So if Bristol wasnt taught how to take losing gracefully that would be the first thing I have seen she may actually be called on.
Too many people were on here bashing her for doing this, then bashing her for other things.
Seems to me a lot of people on here just want to bash who ever is the flavor of the moment.
Does Bristol have a chance against Jennifer? Maybe but she will need a lot of drive and determination and may have a few distraction,, like lots of press, baby,etc.
Was Bristol Palin Sexy on 'Dancing With the Stars'? (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Oct 13th 2010 7:19AM Ah yes the liberal speaks. Lets see, her mother becomes a mayor, does a great job with no issues, then becomes Governor and does a great job,,, gets indicted by the left wingers plebs on ethics charges, 27 times if I remember correctly.
Sarah then by Alaskan law has to pay all of her lawyer fees out of pocket, stated around $500k but I saw one estimate of well over $1.2 million before its all over with. All she got was a warning of bending one ethics rule. No evidence proven on ANY ethics rules broken.
Now lets see, ol'Blago from Illinois has racked up $4.6 million ALL PAID BY Illinois taxpayers(by Ill law, and Government legal fund) paid lawyer fees.
Now Mrs. Palin had a small offer on her plate to write a book, and when all the ethics crap blew up the money got upped and she took it as she resigned because her work was suffering from having to go to court so much.
Now Bristol has a baby, under age and out of wedlock.
Plans to get married but all the hype and media crap blew up her and the baby's father. He did even worse and no one give that POS a single shout.
now Bristol is trying to raise her child with manners, not getting anything and everything when they want.
She take a job, a VERY grueling and physically demanding job, and you POS's wanna slam her.
Hell this country would be a heck of a lot better off if Sarah Palin WAS President(let alone Vice Prez) over the lame a$$ quisling in office now.
How about ever young girl out there not getting naked a screwing their boyfriends in high school or junior high and learning that they should keep their legs crossed till marriage or at least they are in a positions to maintain a home and raise a child.
Oh and she came from a family thats married, mom has had 5 kids, didnt abort a special needs child and seems to have raised a better daughter than you would give credit to, becasue while the girl COULD have sneaked around, lied and cheated and had an abortion and mom and dad may never have known. But instead she gave her heart to the child and the child's father, till he showed his ass.
So if she is smart she can take the money she is making and invest properly,,, and keep her child in a decent way.
In other words, GROW UP.
Oh and Id say the Bristol is more of a woman and mother than you ever would/could be.
'Dancing With the Stars' Results: Who Got Kicked Off in Week 2? {AOL TV}
Sep 29th 2010 10:03AM Lets see, some one hate Bristol Palin because of her mom,who got nominated by a Presidential candidate, to run a Vice Presidential candidate, got trashed by the liberal left wing nut jobs, sued 27 times on ethics and acquitted 27 time but admonished she may have bent a rule in one case some, and footed the complete ,nearly $1 million dollars in legal fees also, all on her own.
She had a special need s child and didnt abort, her teen age daughter had a child out of wedlock but is raising hers also, hmmm seems left need to step back as they didnt kill their unborn because they were a burden, Sarah has 5 kids, some people cant keep 1 kid and do anything right.
Bristol Palin, in every spot I see on her come across as a smart(albeit she did neglect to use contraception once)young lady who is , I am sure, agneted and making some decent money to help raise her child by being on this show.
Her mom wants some better things for the country than government ran health care and government ran car companies and Oh wait the government who is 13 trillion in debt (4trillion of which is Obama and crews, thats nearly 50% of the previous debt made over 90yrs!).
As for this show, I love Jennifer Gray and wish I could see it, but I have no TV reception in my area and cant afford satellite right now, and I was interested when Bristol was brought in.
To the bashers and such, get a life. There are going to be both sides of the government aisle in lfe learn to live and let live.
Glenn Beck Rally Raises Questions {AOL Hot Searches}
Aug 27th 2010 4:04PM Hey sallyrose did you know that all proceeds are going to the Special Operations memorial fund, to help fallen Special Ops members families with school, bills and the lose of their father/mother/son/daughter?
AS for Glen Beck being evil , strange that you would call a God fearing man who put litterally hundreds of thousands of dollars up to get this rolling and isnt making a penny off of it, all proceeds are being donated to the charity. You and every other liberal idiot needs to just step the heck off.
Oh nad the others are right, the Tea Party has NOTHING to do with it. This isnt a political rally.
