Massively's EVE CSM interview: Incarna and nullsec PvP {Massively}

Jan 23rd 2011 4:59PM @Dblade yeah ships destroyed isn't necessarily a good metric :) I don't see many ( or any ) botters out in our space but we might not be deep enough.

we're not a large alliance by any stretch but we seem to get along fine in 0.0 :) I'd love to see some improvements but I don't have any dazzling ideas of my own at the moment..

Massively's EVE CSM interview: Incarna and nullsec PvP {Massively}

Jan 23rd 2011 4:10PM Every time I read one of these CSM interviews lately I think the CSM is playing a different game than I am.. I'm not sure where they are getting the lack of PvP in 0.0 from.. the giant evil blobs are going at it like crazy right now. as for the small gang pvp there seems to be lots of that in our area too, there are constant roaming gangs through our systems. not to mention people camping jump bridges.. why would you want to get rid of JB's when you want to encourage small scale pvp? it's pretty easy to setup a drag bubble on JB network and get all kinds of easy ganks.. ( thats what all the pirates want anyways ).

as for big alliances those are going to happen.. why? because it's effective.. I don't think those are going to go away no matter what they do. Many corps working as one is always going to be more effective at holding space than a single corp.

Walking in stations.. i'm Meh towards.. as long as i don't have to walk to various vendors in the market i'm cool with it.

Unintended source of passive income to be removed from EVE Online {Massively}

Aug 23rd 2010 11:34PM I guess it's good they're fixing this.. I can't imagine it being a HUGE source of passive income.. Personally I'd rather see them do other things, but this is probably a real quick fix ( probably a single if statement in the code ).

The point of it is for guys like me :) who like to game but have to travel for work. I value Small + enough performance to run some older games. if this thing turns out to be built well I see one in my future :)

Toyota, Hyundai refute report of discontinued models {Autoblog}

Jan 6th 2010 2:35PM I can't imagine the matrix being discontinued, there seems to be a lot of them on the street here in Canada at least. I think there are 2-3 new ones on my street alone ( bought in the last 6 months or so )

Report: Quebec drivers face hefty fine if they don't drive on snow tires {Autoblog}

Dec 30th 2009 5:07PM If you don't have a garage you have the option of taking them somewhere and getting them changed every season, usually 10$ a tire or so. or you can buy your winters mounted on steel wheels ( which you should be doing to protect your alloys ) and just swap em out in the yard.

Report: Quebec drivers face hefty fine if they don't drive on snow tires {Autoblog}

Dec 30th 2009 5:02PM This law is good ( hopefully ontario gains a similar one ) it's too bad it has to be a law because it should be common-sense for people who live with winter conditions like those in quebec and most of the rest of canada, even the crappiest fresh off the boat winter rated tire will exceed an all-season. The argument that people would just buy crappy ones is a moot point because if they're buying the crappiest winter tire they've already bought the crappiest all-season tire. You can get a decent set of winter tires @ cdn. tire for 350$ which if you own a car at all shouldn't be that big an outlay considering they'll last you 2-4yrs.

There are a lot of allegedly 'smart' people who claim to not need winters. sure you might not need them every day, but the day you do need them you'll be glad you have them. Not to mention I don't want some idiot rear ending me because they can't stop.

Nokia ships E72 and 5800 Navigation Edition to the US of A {Engadget}

Dec 8th 2009 11:36AM @(Unverified)

fair enough :) I'm rocking a N82 right now waiting for my perfect upgrade, and I hope it comes soon since my battery life is somewhere around 1hour now :| N900 looks like the one for me :) but if i wanted a BB style device the E72 would probably be in the running.

For streaming radio there is a good last.fm app called mobbler, if you like last.fm that is :)
